What's more important is the average age at the end of the contract. I have no idea what those are, but my impression is that's what's really going to bite Chelsea.

These kids never learn do they, you can kind of forgive that, but the agents should be warning them about making these kind of moves too early, and to the wrong clubs.
Chelsea are like a players grave yard. How many youngsters have the hoarded over the last 20 years, only to completely stifle any chance of them making a go of it.

I think he's a very good player that they massively overpaid for. Of course they won't get it all back should he decide he wants out but they'll get at least £50m. Probably a fair bit more.
Seriously doubt anything will happen before next summer anyway.

Why does the prick have to throw shade at us when talking about Chelsea?
I know he’s a thicko and can’t help himself, but still find it irritating.

Paul Merson is a couple of months older than me, so for a large part of his life Chelsea was more about trying to stay out of the third division than winning trophies. He was also born about mile from where I was so he must be from a Chelsea supporting family as Chelsea fans were rarer than rocking horse shit in NW London in the 70s and 80s.

I haven't watched a single minute of Chelsea this year but I thought the general view was that he's been pretty poor?
Not keeping possession, not great passing and not very good on the ball?
I've certainly heard plenty of criticism of him but this is the first time I've heard praise.
Has anyone on here actually watched enough of him to give a balanced opinion? I'd be interested to hear what people here think of him.

Enzo Fernandez looks decent compared to the rest of the Chelsea team but that's not difficult. He does like a shot from distance, even when there are better options.
