Surprisingly, it sold today and I got a tenner for it.
Couldn't believe my luck, especially as I was initially going put it out for a quid! 🤣

It's pretty rare that we get footie shirts and those that we do are usually in a shit state and go off to the ragman.
This Chelsea one was mint though, not sure it'd even been worn once.
Nice that’s a decent price for a Chelsea shirt!

I remember once putting out some West Ham bits and pieces and writing on the price tag something like ‘you should have supported Spurs’ and incorporating the score from a thrashing we’d given them into the price.

That’s one of things I love about my job, being able to take the piss in creative ways and use bizarre donations to prank my colleagues such as this that I left for someone to discover this morning…

Ooh, I'm a big fan of hiding scary dolls around the place but the pentagram is a stroke of genius that I'm now going to have to use! 🤣

Charity shop brother, you’ll be lucky if even the rag merchants will take that off your hands! I had 3 old Umbro Spurs polo shirts with the old crest donated today and they’re virtually immaculate. Hoping to get a good price for them on our eBay site!
Do you still have them, and if so, what size are they? (y)

Here are the links if anyone’s interested, sorry to clog up this thread, this will be my last off topic post so message me if you have any questions about the shirts and let’s get back to laughing at Chelsea.

I’m hoping their win the other night will give them a false confidence. Being Spurs fans Im sure most of us are concerned that this is a typical game we’ll lose but I reckon they’ll be shitting it more than us. I take a bit of solace in the fact that when I looked at their squad for last weekend I only really knew who four of their players were, that could just be my declining knowledge of other teams though.

Basically a free t shirt after donating to a good cause! Thank you 👍🏻

That's the one thing my charity lack, an eBay site.
Because we're a small and relatively localised charity, we have to depend on the likes of me sharing stuff in the local Facebook groups.
We really need to set something up online so we can sell the rarer and collectors items we get and get decent money for them.

All props to you for the BHF and it's a great charity to work for.
I work for The Children's Trust, so while not as big, just as important.

And yeah, to keep it on topic, fuck Chelsea! 🤣

😂😂😂 cheers mate we don’t have a Royal Mail collection until Monday afternoon but I’ll pack it up myself and make sure it’s sent off. It’s much appreciated and you can expect a mystery item to be included in your package too as it’s a Spurs Community purchase 😂

Heads up to anyone reading, you can very often find brand new clothes with the tags still on and get them for a minimum bid of £7.99 on our eBay site. There’s about 750 shops listing items every day so you can usually get something that would be £30+ for a very reasonable price. I’m always amazed how many people buy clothes and never even wear them!

Might be worth speaking to a company called World of Books about it if you’re interested in that and they operate in your area. They’re the company that collects our rag books but they set up a website called Shopiago which makes it really easy for us to list things from the shop computer.

eBay has been a game changer for us. We found a solid rose gold Hermes watch with diamonds all over it in a regular donation bag a few years ago. It would have been £15k new and I listed it on eBay and we got £5k for it! That’s been my biggest sale by some distance but we’ve had several sales around £300 for things you could stick in the shop for £10 if you weren’t doing any research!

Keep up the good work my friend!

Edit- oh yeah, on topic. Fuck those bastards, we’ll smash them at their place!

I can attest to this.
We recently had this jacket donated, Allsaints and with all the labels still on...$275!

And we recently had a cardigan, literally, a simple ladies cardy that had all the tags and was priced at £595.00 FFS.
Last week, we sold a £600 pair of Valentino trainers for £150, again brand new and to keep it football related, two days ago I sold a brand new Burnley training top (long sleeved).
It never ceases to amaze me at how many brand new items we get donated.

Charity shops are a gold mine, if you can be bothered to root about a bit.

Hell yes. If I win this I'll wear it to Stamford bridge. Do you do sew on spurs badges? As I get older my taste in clothes has become somewhat more refined.

As a side note I was at a kids' academy game chatting to one of the dads who knows the Gallagher family very well. He said Connor G's dad told him that being a lifelong CFC supporter Connor would never join Tottenham under any circumstances. I suggested that would probably be a different story if his club were actively kicking him out the door, and Spurs wouldn't have pursued it without some encouragement. But he said the entire family are 'proper Chels' and it would never happen.
