I feel for WHU players as they do give it all (I hate the club). They have only fell short because of players numbers. We could take note of their commitment on the pitch-they give it all. With Wolves’ brutal run-in it looks nailed on that West Ham will be in the Conference League next season. That is probably the worst scenario for them with regards to ambitions of Champions League football. They’ll still have their squad stretched to its limit to the detriment of their league form but without the carrot of a Champions League spot if they win it.

I also very much doubt Rice will sign an extension/new contract now so it’s approaching decision time for them on whether to sell while his stock is so high.

Rice is very very good but if they get offered £100m and that goes towards signings, they could build a half decent squad to cope.
