Wouldn't mind us signing Remy, but it depends on the transfer fee. I have a lot of other options if the transfer fee isn't right. When it comes to buying strikers, you have so many good players out there. If we let Adebayor leave, I would replace him with Lacina Traore. A bit similar style, has an eye for goal and is suited for the Premier League.

He has financial sense. Imagine the transfer fee required after Anzhi paid €18 million for him (probably the estimated fee with clauses activated, but I dare say he wouldn't be far off).

First post! Heh.

What kind of sense do you have, then? Are you a guy who would like players like Andy Booth in your team?

Don't be a silly sausage SK, i too want "exciting" players, i just don't think Traore is very Dynamic, certainly not in the mould of players we are currently being linked with.. ;)

Has it been confirmed in any way shadow or form that we are even remotely interested?
Other than a fake ropey looking Tweet?

Loic Remy is not in the same league as Lloris, Vertonghen, Dembele, Paulinho, Villa etc and is approaching 27. If we are buying players of Remy's quality then they should be early 20's maximum.

I would be happy if we could get him, but not for the reported £20mill pricetag. That is way too much.

Its a lot and over priced, but if he came to us and did the same in our side we would be holding a forward worth more than 30 million. A very good chance he'd do very well for us supported by a better team around him.

Anyway I never get this line that gets trotted out...for x price etc. Let Levy worry about the financials. If AVB is convinced I'm happy.

Not struck on Remy, purely on football sense, nothing to so with his other issues. Thought Townsend was the pick of their wider forwards, and he already belongs to us. 18 months back I'd have probably been happy to see him sign, but I just feel we've moved past him.

Remy is out of position when he's out wide.
Pure striker, lethal, explosive, perhaps limited in his overall play
