If Ancelotti is sacked he's going to United.

The thing is it would be utter stupidity even by RM's standards to sack him, even if they don't win the CL and League. Who would they appoint? David Moyes?

Wenger get could well be looking for a new job in the summer and he has long been on their wanted list.

My view is that whilst the prem arguably doesnt have any of the worlds best 5 clubs right now, as a league, it has no equal, its entirely normal (and not surprising to anybody) that teams fighting for relegation regurlarly pick up wins against those fighting for the title. Its pure unpredictable excitement ...... no other league can boast that level of excitement.

I kind of agree with your first para but take a bit of issue with your second.

I like Sherwood's confidence, and willingness to back his own judgement. On the other hand I think he rejects received wisdom - for which read, for example, reputation - too readily; a blend of the two is best.

I also don't accept that he's been in the job long enough to know they're much of a muchness, but perhaps he means he lacks the specialists for his preferred system? Either way it's worrying to me that he thinks and says such things. I want a coach capable of coaching even average players into a very good outfit. It strikes me from what he's said, and who his mentors are (Dalglish, Harry...), that he's less a coach for the older players and more a curator of talent. I don't believe such an approach can work at the top end of the game any more, unless you have absolute mega-bucks to throw at it, a la Mancini at City, and even then you'll get found out against the best teams. Basically at the very top the game's moved on, you need the attention to detail of a Brailsford or a Woodward, a Pep or a Rogers... You also need leadership qualities and to be an excellent teacher of course.

I agree with this. I think it just highlights Chris Ramsey plight. He doesn't seem to be invovled at all. It's Tim's way. And thats it. I think in Chris we got somewhere there is tactically sound and understands the game, i kind of wish tim would take on board of what he has to say and the philosphies they built up with the U21 and bring it across to the 1st team. And tim to use himself to gear up the players. As for sir les he can continue smiling on the sidelines.

On what basis do you say Chris is not involved? Tim always talks about himself, Chris and Les in a way that suggests shared responsibility. Interestingly he never includes Steffen or Tony in the same way.

spoke to my source at Carrington, says unlikely to be LVG, agents are putting forward clients though
I still have the slight hunch that it will be Carlos Queiroz. They are going to get someone that will work with SAF, and Queiroz was his number 2 for a long time. He's qualified Iran for the World Cup, and that was his goal. I don't think he will stay with them after the summer.

Zidane would take over, Perez is a huge fan of his.

LET'S HIRE ANOTHER SPORTING DIRECTOR WITHOUT A PLAN IN PLACE

THAT ALWAYS GOES FUCKING SPLENDIDLY

Actually hiring a sporting director/DoF and getting them to hire the new head coach is how the whole system is supposed to work!

I don't disagree. In fact I agree totally. I just question the proposition that the Premier League is the best league in football.
Probably not the best – technically, but certainly the most exciting league in the world. I think that's what most people mean when they say "best in the world"

Tuchel is the man to build us a legacy going forward into our new stadium (eventually)
Nothing is certain (especially at THFC), we all thought AVB was going to lead us to a golden age. As long as we have a board that has minimal patience, we will never know.
