...With the hopes, dreams and bitter desire from millions of Scousers spurring them on :cautious:
It’s like, I’d be vexed if we lost the game but I’d be more annoyed by the inevitable “Spursy” comments from everyone (us as well as others) despite our “non-Spursy” results in basically every other game this season.

Even if we win, it just feels like we’re postponing the “Spursy” and “not been tested” comments another week 😀.

I’m with the Fighting Cock guys on this. They’re scared. They thought we were shit, but we’re not.

Bit nervous about this game

1230 KO against an opponent we are expected to easily beat, few injuries and after how emotional last week was

Sort of game we could normally mess up but let’s hope it’s a new era under Big Ange for these type of games too

Injuries starting to mount, big, physical side that’s good at set pieces and home with a point to prove. Have to lose some time. I’m nervous tbh.
Sounds like you're not confident of us beating anyone then, given Luton are one of the worst teams in the league.

The sort of game has disastrous momentum killer written all over it. I think we're a different side now and history is just that but we'll know for sure by about 2:30 on Saturday.

I'm neither optimistic or pessimistic. I'm bloody relaxed about it, which is making me nervous but that's my problem.

Yes this is another very different challenge. I personally think everything about this will be uncomfortable - the stadium, the away changing room, the way their young manager will set them up. Playing at Kenilworth road is a bit of an equaliser as many in the Championship found out last season. I would be very disappointed with anything but a win but this will not be easy.

Also literally being in Luton is uncomfortable.

I don't know that I would go as far a "momentum killer".

I'll concede that every away match is tough, and this will be no different - against a team desperate for any points. But, the timing works well, even with injuries piling up.

A loss would be difficult, but having 2 weeks to recover and go again will help keep it from lingering, imo.

I forgot there's another effing international break. Yeah, fair dos. Could be shrugged off if the worst happens. Anyways, I'm very relaxed about it. I'd usually be pencilling in the disappointment by now.

Not worried at all. We are far better than them even with our injuries. I’d be extremely disappointed if we didn’t win.

What would be Spursy would be having to replay last week's game not if we lost tomorrow.

This feels similar to before we first played Huddersfield away back in 2017. First time against a new opponent, surprise promotion from the season before, early 12:30 kick off, a month or so into the new season…

That day we went 3-0 up in the first 20 mins. Hoping for something similar Saturday.

Not expecting many to agree here but wouldn't mind bringing in Hojbjerg for Sarr in this game. I would expect us to have 70+% possession on Saturday, and Pierre showed last season how he can contribute goals and assists to good effect with 12 G&A in all comps.

You have been COYS for more than 8 games...right?

In all seriousness, I think we are different now because Ange has desired to change things and so far fulfilling our greatest hopes
