Don’t you get free entry in Kennelworth if you spend more than £20 at the Luton branch of Screwfix?

I’d love it if we’re awarded a goal by VAR tomorrow after replays/VAR lines etc show it was miles offside and Klopp is asked for his thoughts about it on Sunday after his lot are beaten by a last minute VAR awarded goal to Brighton

I think he would explode along with Sky sports

COYS !!!!

They've only conceded more than 2 goals in a match at Kenilworth Rd once in the last 12 months (a 2-3 defeat back in January), which suggests they're quite competent defensively.

Fair to say that they haven't played anyone as good as us in that time, but still an indication that we're going to need to be on our game. An early goal tomorrow could make all the difference to how the match pans out tactically.

According to FBRef, Luton have attempted the most long passes (passes 30+ yards) in the league and have had the most successful crosses into the penalty area exluding set pieces. Going to need to stay alert at the back

On the flip side, because of that style, they have the lowest completed pass % in the league at 68.3% which is a hefty 5% below Sheffield United. We've also allowed the 2nd-fewest completed pass % in the league

Just the sort of game where the 'weaker' team takes great pleasure in showing they're stronger simply because their cocky opponents underestimated them. Necessity (injuries, lack of match fitness, rotation etc.) may force Spurs to select a couple of unexpected players and hope that those players are hungry to play, keen to impress, or whatever. The home side will have a go, will love the kudos of an unexpected victory, will be keen to win points for Premier League survival, and be driven by the fact that as the match is on British-based telly their reputation will be enhanced with a good result. So dangerous a match for Spurs that it'll call for a good team performance, and both pressure upfield and stout defending further back. If circumstances allow it, I'd love to see a couple of new boys feature for Spurs and start to make their reputations.

We could go in to the international break in first place. Lets hope we've rinsed that old Spurs smell out of the club.

I'd be happy with a win and top overnight, that would be a really strong end to the first 20% of the season.

If City drop points then it's even better but with Saka out I'm not getting my hopes up.

Used to love the old Luton kits. Proper 70s style. If Steve McQueen were alive he’d be a Hatter. (Or maybe Coventry)

We're not going to win the league, but I'd like this team to think they can at this early stage of the season. And in doing so, it would mean taking this game very seriously and putting Luton to the sword, like we did Burnley or like Arsenal did to Bournemouth last week. None of the last minute heroics this time please, just win the game well throughout so it's an afterthought in about 2 weeks.

I think we should be quite robust to the longer-ball tactics of Luton if that's how they approach this game. Huge amounts of the game should be in their half with very little chance to get out of their half for long periods of respite. If we're aggressive and not passing sideways all the time, we should be incisive enough to score a couple and then manage the game well from there.

And a bonus of 20 mins or so of Bryan Gil playing in an Ange team would be good too.

I wonder if Emerson will start given their tactics and crossing. Porro not the best at the back post
