Without Silva and Kompany we should be able to win this, but we probably won't. I predict one good and one bad half, little real chances created and lot of wasted shots by Townsend and bad team selection. Hope I'm wrong though.

I think it'll start slow. City will grab a goal (most likely through Aguero) in the final 15 minutes of the first half. We'll start strongly in the second and it'll be tight up until around 70 minutes when City will get a second. We'll score a late consolation.

2-1 City.

Bit worried about this one. Someone has to dish out our annual spanking so tomorrow could be the day. Hope not.

I'd sooner take a 20-0 away defeat to City than a 3-0 home defeat to West Ham.

I think our hardest result to take this season has already happened.

I think they'll underestimate us and we'll boss them. I also predict for a period of ten minutes we'll completely take our foot off the pedal. What I do know for sure is that I will say silly things in the match thread.

I reckon we'll play well tomorrow. We'll have spells where we'll control the game and probably have higher possession. I think they'll take their chances though and we'll end up either snatching at half chances or squandering the few we'll get.

I'd love to say a win, but I'm just not that convinced as they have great home form and real world class match-winner throughout that team. A draw is possible but I reckon they'll get the better of us.

A win would mean so much though. Leapfrogging Everton, Southampton and maybe even United, all the while creating a 4 point gap between us and City. I bloody hope Andre gets his team talk spot on!

TBH the thing I want to see the most tomorrow is clear cut chance creation, maybe some through balls, nice link up play, looking threatening in the final 3rd.....things we haven't seen this season so far.

If I see that, then whatever the result, I won't complain or be miserable. In fact, I'll be more positive.

Having said that, if we do those things, I think we can beat any team, even man city without Kompany or Silva.

Well said. As odd as it sounds, I'd prefer to see us put in a great performance and lose 2-0, than play dreadful, dull football but fluke a penalty and win 1-0. The reason being that a great performance would give me far more confidence about us winning more games in the future, whereas 3 points and a poor performance would leave me continuing to feel that AVB is on borrowed time.

Right now I'd like nothing more than some clear signs that AVB's vision for the club is starting to come together. I'd love him to be successful and prove all the doubters wrong, and the performance would indicate that far more than the result.

The most accurate prediction yet. As will we all my good man.

Take nothing away from the lad and i will always back him up.

However i really hope Sigurdsson does not start.

We must play two QUICK wingers to cause city real problems.

Hope this does happen then i will feel just slightly more confident.

Will be a close game but city will be favourites.

Silva and Kompany are huge misses and IF we play to our abilities we for sure can cause an upset.

On form spurs i would say 2-1 win

Typical spurs as of late 2-0 loss

I think this will be the game where it really starts to click for us. A positive second half will earn a 2-2 draw but goals and chances from open play will make us all happy.

I gave up giving predictions long ago. How many of the results this season whould I have accurately predicted? Impossible to guess which Spurs will show up, though it being an away game to a tough team makes me confident...it's those home games to teams we should beat that fill me with terror...

And AVB was making noises that Ade might be in the team...if that's the case, I pick him to score

A win for us, if we lose i will be very surprised City are cack, and easy to break down, after we get our first 2 goals it will be a stroll.

Would love to see us trying Townsend on the left as a winger and Lamela on the right cutting in, although I think Lennon will start as Andre will want somebody on the wing that can do a job tracking back. Three in the middle with Paulinho going box-to-box, Sandro and Capoue as an deeplying mid. Ideally Rose on the left, Vertonghen and Chiriches in the middle and Kyle on the right. Soldado upfront. Today is the day when Soldado show his best. Although physicality isn't in his nature, there should space today where to run to.
Really hoping not to see Sigurdsson and Dembele starting today. Gylfi doesn't have speed needed today and Dembele, in my onion, has been on form lately.. If Kaboul is okay to play, would really love to see him and leave Daws on the bench.

Soldado
Townsend Lennon
Paulinho Capoue Sandro
Vertonghen Chiriches Dawson Walker
Lloris

Im going for 2-2

So many people are expecting it to click but I don't think it will there is something wrong imo I can't see beyond a 3-0 defeat today.
