Man City were too good, they didnt let us have a sniff, there pressing and fitness levels are insane. We did well to stay in the game for a long time.

Tough summer ahead for levy because central midfield is not good enough technically, lots of effort but little quality. Need to upgrade right back option too.

We never pressed the ball at all of course they just passed it round us.

Masons team selection and subs were, frankly pretty amateur.

to freeze out Ndombele is one thing, to do so for winks and sissoko is unbelievable.
And to bring off Lucas (who was our best player aside from Lloris) was just managing by numbers.

City were utterly dominant. Played us off the pitch, won the duels, made the chances, played like champions. We played like a team bereft of confidence, and even their weakened team were a gulf better than us.
But, for me, I feel like we lost this an hour before kick off. Team selection ceded the impetus to City. Instead of being brave, giving Bale a free role across the centre, setting up to play our game, we put arguably half of our world class talent on the bench where they put theirs on the pitch.
I get what Mason was trying to do, I think, in the face of so much quality, but sometimes it feels like these things are won in the head. 45 mins we barely touched the ball.

and side note, how pitiful does it look walking up to a box to collect your runner up medal hah?

Great result to lose only 1 - 0. To be fair how many of City’s players cost less than £40million? That’s what you get when you spend the amount of money they have on a team as we have on a Stadium! Our stadium will be around for a 100 years but their players won’t. So who’s laughing now? Oh it them isn’t it.

Sadly Mason rhetoric not backed up by action, set team up to battle not to play - playing out from the back simply stupid. subs were poor, Moura looked out most likely outlet and Lo Celso had started the second half strongly. Sissoko just such a defensive negative sub and his inability to even get off the ground cost dearly. Ndombele didn’t get a look while winks and dele get a run, while Not stressed he didn’t start he just had to come on during the game. Levy rolled the dice and lost, we were simply Mourinho light today. Save my last moan for Aurier just a dumb player.

I'm not that bothered about the result, I think almost everyone expected it, so it hasn't really hit me at all.

It's the effort shown that's cheesed me off. It was the usual suspects showing - Again - What they contribute to the team. Whoever gets the job in the Summer has a gargantuan task before them.

Here's why IMO Spurs and England doesn't win anything - we play names and not players who deserve and are on form!

Peh had our only real chance and passed it out of play. Similar to the cl final. Let the opposition play their own game and were far too passive.

Next season should be one of rebuild. Really poch should have been given the opportunity but two years down the line it hasn't happened. I would probably put virtually everyone up for sale. Unlikely anyone would meet our valuations for son kane or tanguy. We need to go back to buy them young and cheap sell high, so a manager comfortable with playing younger players would be ideal.

Why can't Sissoko jump? It's mad how many goals from set pieces he's been directly responsible for. He literally can't get off the ground.
