We weren't given the chance. Not helped at all by players like Winks and Sissoko and Dier playing instead of Lamela, Bale, Dele, Bergwijn, Ndombele, Tanganga.
I don't understand what you mean by not given the chances Glacier? Surely the players create their own chances by running themselves into the ground and closing down like their life depended upon it? Leeds managed it.

What a cluster fuck of a season this has been. I wish it ended today. If the players couldn’t even be bothered to try in a cup final, why the fuck would they bother in the remaining 5 league games?

I just don’t understand why they have no desire or hunger. Too much money I guess.

It’s almost why I’m struggling to get angry. It was all so obvious.

yet we still turn up time and again and expect it to be different. It’s like a condition that doesn’t kill you, just makes you feel like shit most of the time.

Did we feed the ball between the lines a single time after he stepped on the pitch? Not a rhetorical question -- I honestly don't remember a single passing move where we fed the ball from midfield into attack after Lo Celso came off.

The forwards can't do anything if the midfield is utterly incapable of getting the ball into them.
So why take off GLC and Moura then?
Why leave Winks?

Man City will win more trophies in the next 6 weeks than we’ve won in 35 years. The same Man City who spent 8 years in league 1 and 2 in that time. We should be ashamed as a club, money or not. Just a complete bottle job under this ownership. Sooner we sell up the better. Losers across the board.

The same Man City who have been financially doped.

I think if Jose had stayed manger we would have had a less defensive performance. It is worrying that Ryan does not appear to have the strength or authority to change things. Change is certainly required to these gutless players and the way they play. A wasted opportunity to win a trophy as we went down with a whimper.
Well, look at who he started. He expected them to fight. Use their alleged desire to win a trophy as a fulcrum. I have no issues with Mason today, and those having a pop at him, are being a bit unfair. There seems to be a perception held by many, that we have 8 or 9 players that are exceptional and can win anything. But they’re constantly let down by poor management.

Mason has been handed a turd sandwich. Give the guy a break. He was up against the supposed best coach in the universe, against the best team money can buy. We only had a chance to win if the players selected had thrown themselves into the match. Only way to win against a superior opponent like that, is to want it more than them. and all those ‘fantastic‘ players like Kane and Son deserve so much more? Do they? I though both were passive and disinterested most of the game. Kane had a handful of nice moments in the 2nd half. But, c’mon. Stop making excuses for these sad sack losers.

I don’t care that we lost today, given the opposition. I do care at about the shitty, indifferent attitude of so many of our players today. Who shows up for a rare cup final, and phones it in? Cos that is what many of them did. they do not deserve excuses. But, if they had lost playing with passion and grit, I can live with that. But this... it was actually just sad to watch.

Just hope this result shows the board the massive task ahead of revamping this squad. There's something serious sickness with this squads mentality and it needs to be dealt with soon. We've got so many players who barely give a sh*t. That poor attitude just spills out on the rest of the team and until we get a new core group of players we are going to continue poisoning the squad.

We'd honestly do better as a team if we got rid of these deadwood players and replaced them with young players with potential from the championship.

We battled and hung in there well for 80 mins. Hoped luck was on our side but City were simply too good on the day.

They are financially doped with one of the best managers of all time, we've had a poor season and a rookie caretaker in charge. It was always going to be a big ask.

No point apportioning blame at this stage, best to leave that in the Mourinho era.

Need to dust ourselves down and try to make the most out of the end of the season, hopefully playing some decent football and scoring some goals.

Well done to the 2k Spurs fans too, heard them much more consistently that City's fans despite the flow of the game.

We go into all these finals just expecting to lose. We never even believe we’re going to win. We are always massive underdogs. It’s a complete mentality of our club. When’s the last time we’ve been favourite for anything??

Free hit. You can't go from stifled and defensive for 8 months to beautiful passing and attacking in 6 days.

If we'd gone toe to toe we would have got smashed. We were in it for 83 minutes.
