btw, just want to say, we gave credit to peh, skipp, richie, cuti, vdv, porro and gave johnson grief but i read very little about BENTACUR

without him today, we might have lost.

he stitches all our play so so well
I think it's just almost expected from Lolo to be that good when he plays. I don't think I've ever watched him have a bad game to be quite honest.

Hes a classy footballer. Quick feet when he's pressed and just glides around effortlessly.

I'm surprised he absolutely lashed the ball into the net, I expected it to be a little side foot shot.

Watching Pierre who had a decent match but at times he us just not up to our style of play. The quick first time pass seems beyond him at times. Our midfield did well considering it was last season plus Bentancur.
Johnson does seem a bit soft at times but you can’t judge him on his price , he didn’t set it.
Good performance and should probably have won it. No Sonny but still got 2 goals.

Crikey, watching these Ten Hag interviews… you can only imagine the amount of players who must come out of his team talks simply saying “….what?”.
Can’t see him being there next season, just hanging on really. Although I do hope he stays..

Skipp is underrated

im not sure about that, but I’m not going to do anything today but compliment him on a hard fought 90 mins. He was one of the guys that’s been sick this week and he went and worked his butt off for 90 mins. Wasn’t great but had direct involvement in driving us forward for our goal and the best opportunity we had that should have been a goal.

If he carries on like this, they’ll limp through to the end of the season and he’ll get sacked the following day. He is just so uninspiring. That team has zero character, Ange has really shown him up, as well as others.

Well I usually agree with Roy on a lot of things, but he’s well off there (moaning about how everyone is praising spurs due to injuries).

I don’t think he actually appreciates our injury problems and for how long its affected our starting line up. Coming to Old Trafford with a depleted team that has also had illness through the week, the team definitely deserves the praise.
To be fair I think he's just saying injuries are part of the game and you have to account for them

Would have been nice to pick up all 3 points but I'm just delighted to get through it without any significant injuries and bag a point at the same time. Now we can push on, get players fit for the rest of the season and hopefully get a good run going for the rest of the season.

Couldnt quite work out the formation there at the end. Did we switch to a back 3 when Dragusin came on?

What's incredible is how Ange has managed to get pretty much all out back up players playing pretty decent football.

We do give the ball away much more often but atleast he's getting these guys to play the same way as the first team players and being brave. The drop in quality will of course mean losing the ball more often and sloppy passes. But the bravery has well and truly been instilled within the whole squad.

Despite missing Sarr, Biss, Maddison, kulu and son, we still played good football for most of the game. Just missed that killer instinct with the final ball.

They all just want to play for him so much. Love that attitude.

It's amazing because basically all of the players Conte said were cowardly or weak have shown massive upticks in form (Sonny, Davies, Porro, Richy, Romero, Bissouma) or model professionalism despite difficult circumstances (Emerson, Dier, Hojbjerg). Yes, we've made excellent signings, but this is just fundamentally a good group of blokes, and I'm delighted they're led by a guy who values that.

this was honestly one of our best performances from front to back in a long time, other than those 2 goals i don't think big Vic had to make a single save.

our midfield worked really well and hard, even skipp had that one insane pass to open Werner up.

Werner is what he is but looks super dangerous as an assist machine.

Asked the same question in the Dragusin thread - appears so.
Seemed more to me like Porro went to midfield? Dragusin was definitely very wide on the right, it then I didn’t notice if Vdv also was on the left. Anyway, the fullbacks pretty much are midfielders in possession.
