Today really exemplified how important Romero and VdV are for us. Just so composed when in possession.
I found myself actually relaxing when they’re knocking it about, not like the last month or so when it’s been bloody terrifying to watch...and that’s not a dog at Davies and Emerson, they stepped up when needed but there’s levels between them.

It’s probably easier to implement that in a weaker league with the best players.
What's bizarre though is he has a bunch of the players that he did that style with. Like, exactly the same ones. And a bunch of expensive lads that he specifically asked for. It's baffling.

Today has shown that it's not 'Come on lads, it's only Spurs'.
Could have won but happy with the point. We completely dominated the stats as well.

Fair mate. So would you start Gil against City over Johnson… I’d still rather start Johnson for his pace and stretching teams personally, but agree not his best game today.
Hopefully kulu and madders back by then if you were wanting to drop johnson to super sub

Madders, Sarr, Bissouma, Son, Kulu all missing.

A very good come from behind twice deserved point.

Timo looking good!

Don’t forget Solomon - tricky, pace to burn, dangerous crosser and would have been great to bring on today when Johnson / Werner needed a break

I said before the game that a draw would be a great result. I’m still happy with that even though we dominated.

Oh yea ofc completely forgot about Kulu 🤦‍♂️ yes so start him and bring Johnson and Gil off the bench :)

Johnson probably does need dropping but we’ve not had enough fit players to do that recently.

I'm looking at this performance and only taking the positives.... The style that Ange has installed is helping those that are not regulars come and do a a job..... is it ideal! no, but they come and give there all and at least contribute in games like this...... Such a great watch this season, can't wait to see the first team starters come back into a side that's still progressing well with squad players... Now Ange is Magic...... even more so than Poch

I felt a bit sorry for Hojland up until today. Now I think he’s a spotty little **** and I hope he never scores again.

We could have won it easily if we have a few players back.

One of richardlison best games for us.

Johnson to remain a impact player pls. He almost cost us big time last min when he simply stood off a cross and united almost stole it

You’d almost always take a point at Old Trafford, and how poor United are was offset by how many players we had missing. Happy enough with that, still plenty to work out especially in that forward line but some encouraging signs as well, and a real heart-on-sleeve midfield performance.

Johnson wasn't great today but I still think he will do well for us. 1 goal, 4 assists isn't too bad for a player making a step up

Edit - but yeah, I think he suits us more as a super sub for the time being when everyone is fit

No they didn't cost us any goals and they didn't get overrun or lose the midfield battle.

But I think it's a game we win if we had alternative options on the pitch.

Maybe I'm being too harsh, but for me we win that game if even one of Sarr, Bissouma or Madders is playing.
or deki or glc or sonny

He was shocking mate, as evidenced by the 20 agrees on his post.

He didn’t even work hard. No need to be so condescending to a legitimate and fair post
Well, I wasn't saying he had a blinder now was I?

So there's every fucking need. He was poor, he was NOT 'shocking'. That's just a lazy and over the top use of the word.

Thought they both looked pretty rusty in the first half. The entire backline did. Certainly much better second half

It was weird as the better of Skipp’s forward passes ended in Werner missing in the first half, the move out wide for Werner’s assist (Bentancur goal) not so good. Thought Werner did well to shift the play back.
skipp just explained in interview that he thought timo would go wide and was lucky that timo managed to get that and then play lolo in
