Whether he's just lucked out I don't know, but Levy has at long last appointed a manager with Spurs DNA. He's going to have players running through walls for him.

But that's a debate for another thread.....

This season might be a rocky one but I have a good feeling if we get behind Ange and what he is trying to do we're going to have a bright future.
I really really hope that we don't get too many idiotic posts if we have a rocky start.

He looked tired in the Son video announcing the captaincy. I bet he just can't wait to get onto overseeing a match.
I am really looking forward to this season and the football we are going to play. Really want this guy to not just succeed but absolutely smash it.

🤣

This weekend will bring Postecoglou's Premier League debut in the dugout and the only downside to his new job is that he has to give up one annual tradition with his long-time friends.

"I've got a few friends coming to the match. It's fair to say I've been inundated for tickets but it's great because they've been along for the journey. We all had those dreams and we're all living it together because for me they're just part of it as well because I wouldn't be sitting here today without them," he said.

"They're all going to be here and for the first time in I reckon 20 years I've had to pull out of our fantasy Premier League group as well which I'm gutted about and if they try to grill me for information they're getting nothing out of me.

Oh there will be on here and X. But it's more in the stadium that I am thinking about. Need to cut out the moaning and groaning and actually build an atmosphere that away sides fear.

My favourite ever spurs manager in terms of overall character, absolutely love the guy, he is everything we need plus an Aussie accent as a bonus.

I met an Aussie Liverpool supporter this weekend, and he mentioned to me that Ange isn't really that popular in Australia. Anyone here able to confirm or deny this?

I've loved what I've seen from Ange so far in preseason, and I just hope we as fans give him time. I think he could be truly brilliant, but he also has often taken a while to get his past teams playing well. I'm fully expecting a rough start (like I'm bracing for 7 points in the first 7 games), and I think we'll have a few miserable days where we're totally battered. But I think there's so much to be optimistic about and look forward to if we can hang on through this chaotic window and the bedding in period.

I used to wonder what mourinho & conte thought when they saw the “game is about glory” quotes plastered everywhere, given their idea of football was very much to let the other team die of boredom.
When Ange sees them he must think “is that a quote from me?” Perfect description for his football, I’m surprised he hasn’t referenced it yet, unless I’ve missed it.
