Just ran into my mate who’s a season ticket holder at Celtic and was passing on the news we’ve had of the likely lack of further reinforcements.

He reckons that won’t be a terminal issue like we’ve seen with past managers in that Ange genuinely can raise the floor on even the most limited players. He also reckons Saturday was still early days in what we can expect from Ange pushing us on. Wasn’t the worst opinion to hear off the back of the the “outs before ins” we heard earlier this week.

I wonder if there’s a single page in this thread that doesn’t have a poster claiming a Celtic season ticket holder mate told them something about Ange.

Nah my mate who's a Celtic fan did a search of all the pages in the thread and turns out there are at 7 pages without any mention of them.

Also turns out the word 'Ange's style of football' has been used 6746 times in the thread and there have been 6745 complaints about the usage of said term.

Really impressed with Ange so far, but I worry that if levy doesn’t back him which we have seen all before that he will go one step further and move to someone who will!

I do believe this manager can change our fortunes if he’s backed. Big week for levy to make statement, but I won’t hold
My breath.

When we were linked with him I wrote a post saying I think that his style of play and personality will transform the atmosphere of the club and will be exactly what we need.

The videos below are exactly what I hoped for and meant...and before some say yea but its just because we won a game, no, we wont games under Jose and Conte and it never had this type of feeling or atmosphere of togetherness and fun and hope.

For me this is what it is all about, can't wait to go to games again and still buzzing now from being at the game at the weekend, so good to see so many of our fans smiling and enjoying supporting the team and club again, thank you Ange and thank you the club for appointing him and not making a 4th mistake in a row.

The drummer being back has also really helped.

Good Ange song

I must be the only person who doesn't like it. I think it's disrespectful to Poch and what he achieved with us. A couple of months ago, people wanted him to come back. I'm never that keen on songs that mention past players (or managers) really. I like to focus on the present, and future and would rather it was just a positive Ange song personally.

You're not. I hate it. I hate the sudden abuse Poch is getting just for going to a London Premier League club who actually wanted him.

I personally don't think the anti-Poch Big Ange chant will take off in the grounds, I think the other one that just uses his name whilst moshing about like nut-cases will be the one we use. It's on you tube if you don't know it & it's about him not Poch

Completely agree. It’s nearly there and I don’t mind digs at Conte and Jose so much (although they aren’t a necessity at all) but Poch should be remembered fondly and with respect

Agree. Anyone that gives their all for the badge whether they are good enough or not, will always get my support and appreciation as long as they don't bad mouth the club.

I completely understand why people dislike Poch now but there’s no need to put it into a song. He didn’t leave us for Chelsea, plus it was our club’s decision not to take him back. Hate on him if you must but singing hatred about him on matchdays…. not for me. That could be just as good a chant with a few tweaks to edit out the Poch stuff. (Until he slates us in the press then bring it back in)

Totally agree, keep it short, sweet and simple. The I’m loving big Ange instead song is funny with the reference to Christian Gross but for me loving the drumming and having a beat with a simple chant. I’ve never known a manager, this early into his Spurs career to have such a variety of songs! Always a good thing: loving the positivity after years of dino ball.

In total agreement, long overdue and for me I thought I was being a bit too optimistic before the Man Utd game saying in the match thread I had a feeling it was going to be the best atmosphere at the new ground since the 2022 NLD most certainly surpassed that.

It gives me butterflies and makes me look forward to every home game as a ST holder.

Just feels so good being a collective at the ground again and most importantly with smiles on faces young and old. Makes me live for the weekend. I feel very lucky after being relocated to the south stand. As the season progresses I have a feeling that there will be a chant or three for each of the players as well and that we have what we want in terms of football style. The sense of humour to the chanting is returning as well.

The next time you get going to a game the difference to the atmosphere is night and day.

Ordinarily I’d agree with @spursgirls that there’s no need to dwell on the past where it can be helped, and it’s much better to focus on the now and future. It’s healthier and positive. However, I think Poch is fair game after having said the following:

Asked about Chelsea's culture, Pochettino said: "Yes I think it's important, I think it's the culture of winning.

"I think in the last ten, 12, 15 years Chelsea is the greatest team in England.

"And that we know very well, I think I know the Premier League very well. I know very well what it means to be Chelsea, the culture of Chelsea.

Surely he’d know how inflammatory that bullshit would be to us. The “greatest” is such a weird word to use, successful maybe but “greatest”? Nah, not having it. I also don’t think that will be the last thing Poch says which lands him in it with us, especially if that song takes off.

I, and I think many other, weren’t really bothered when he went to chelsea as we clearly didn’t want him and he considered his career more important than the relationship he had built with us fans. Mourinho did the same in reverse so fair play, sometimes you have to look out for numero uno. However, to my mind, Mourinho never then went around saying comments that would be inflammatory to the fan base of the team that largely made his name while he was with us. If I remember correctly anyway, happy to be corrected on that.

He was bigging his new club up in his first interview on their club's platform. Did you expect him to say anything else?
