I would say that’s the best interview done by somebody with him since he’s been here. Lineker might be a bit of a tit but he’s done well here.
Big fan of lineker myself. Good guy who still gives a shit about people despite being famous. Can’t see your problem really

A couple of notes on the latest press conference.

1) Finally the journos have been mic'd up so you can hear their questions in the video
2) "Never be proud about doing the right thing, just do it" is a great quote.

I don’t have a problem, quite the opposite in fact but if that’s your response I won’t bother sharing any more interviews. Other people can do it.

You said ‘lineker might be a bit of a tit’ so I was saying I can’t see the problem with him. Seems a perfectly reasonable reply to me so honestly don’t know what you’re bent out of shape about

It'll be a breath of fresh air to have a manager who goes after the big teams in the big games, obviously I want to win but I'd much rather go down punching than the absolute cowardly performances we put on last season against arsenal.

Everything he says and the teams he picks screams brave attacking football. Porro over Royal, Sarr over Hoijberg/Skipp. Udogie playing every game.

If we get beat tomorrow, I can take it, as long as we go down fighting and attacking them from the off.

Ange really is perfect for Spurs, he really does encompass our motto. Whether it brings us success or not we are certainly a lot better off. We have some hope again and I actually want to watch spurs nowadays, which wasn't always the case in previous years.

Ange should not be judged on the result tomorrow just like he should not be judged as the new messiah after the first 5 games (we've played no one of real note except a Utd side in a state of flux). Let's just see how this season pans out.

Agree with what you're saying bar playing no one of note.

There are no gimmies in the PL this season...well maybe Luton, but we haven't played them yet.

I hate the NLD. But this is really intriguing to see how much progress we are actually making. Previous sides have cowerd and regressed when we’ve played a game like this. I’m hoping that nothing changes tomorrow and we play the same front foot, attacking, possession-based football we’ve played all season so far.

Although I want to win (of course) I’m not actually that fussed about the result as long as we have a go. That’s all I really care about. I want to see if we really are looking at a new era and a new mindset with Ange.

To be fair to @spursfan77 ive heard from a few people that Lineker is a tit. Which is a shame as, along with Gazza, he was my idol as a kid. I’m certain @spursgirls has a story about Lineker from some sort of meet and greet evening.
Other than that, I think it was a very good interview. The fact that Lineker came to our place (not sure he’s done that over the years?), shows a willingness by the media to want to speak to Ange. The guy has a great ora, and he carries himself so well. It must be quite a nice experience to go and have a chat with him and ask him questions.

Jesus against porro if true is terrifying
I hear you but also let’s see Jesus tracking back to try and follow Porro into central midfield or up the wing. It’ll either drag Jesus way out of position or Porro can be an extra man often.

Yeah, I've heard more bad things than good about Lineker from people that have met him.
He's a good presenter and I like him at that but I'm not sure I'd want to have a beer with him.

What an incredible manager. The most tense but enjoyable sunday afternoon i can remember. He just gave any team that is paying attention a template of how to play against these uber, aggressive press teams, and i think on purpose. Ride your luck, work on your passing combinations out of the press all week and you too can be succesful!
