IMHO yesterday showed that we are a lot closer to having a decent squad than we thought
We have had 12 Regular starters out learning a new system this season, having lost Kane as the season started.

Yes we lost 3 on the trot, though any team would with our key players out some of the time we were the better team in the 3 we lost. The Chelseas game was a freak. We were the better side, till romero and udogie lost the plot. The same with Villa when Cash smashed Bents . I really feel it was a deliberate and Cash should have got a red and definitely a retrospective red.

The interesting thing is how Ange has adapted to the adversity, and proved that even without Maddison, Peresic, Romero, VDV, Bents, Sarr, the "Harry Kane reserve team" can go away to arguably the best team in the world with no recognised CH and get a 3-3 draw. Especially as a lot of the side that were on the pitch could not sting a pass together under Conte.
For me ta miracle thats up there with................. walking on water.
No wonder they call him Ange

I honestly think it is not inconceivable for us to acheive great things this season, if we can get some consistency in the next few games. We have to do it in the next few games till XMAS, as we get players back.
I believe our first team when fully fit is actully a match for anyone in this league.

I have been watching spurs for an extremely long time and its the most excited i have been about our prospects since the early 60s.

I think it's a perfect season for us to have a proper go at the FA Cup. We can beat anybody and a good January window should provide some much needed cover.

Really don't need our coaching group being pulled apart. You'd imagine that Davies must be enjoying himself and learning a fair amount from Ange. Then again, if he see's himself as ready to strike out on his own then Swansea aren't a bad club to go to.

We have a manager I'm sure will go for it. Whats interesting is that with the January break there's only 2 league games in Jan and 2 Cup games. Ours is on a Friday and Utd the following Sunday so with Bournemouth the Sunday before we should go pretty full strength.

Reading that @whitestreak re-post above, is a 'retrospective red' a thing ?

Anyway the execution of Bents , I agree, was intentional and truly shameful.

You used to (& not heard anything about them scrapping it) but only if the ref hasn't seen it (I think it used to have to specifically not be mentioned in their match report), with VAR also watching it makes it very unlikely. Cash's "tackle" wouldn't have been eligible as the ref had acted upon it, however I'm surprised nothing came of the elbow on Gil.

IMHO The reaon we love Ange is because at spurs we have always wanted to play wonderful skillfull attacking football

it is deeply imprinted in our DNA at least going back to the end of WW2

We invented sexy football in europe, instinctively making your spirits soar.......

He wants to play football for the soul, you can see glimpses of it in matches the more time with the players he gets the more it will evolve

In the same way as Yiddo redefined us as Yids, I want Sexy Breathtaking Winning football to be the new .........I Love Spurs.... Spursi make it equate to sexy

not the losing that we have digested since 2019, but the effervescent stuff from which our dreams and hopes stem

If he has ambitions to be a manager he’ll 💯 want to take that job.

If he’s happy being a coach for a while longer like Mason then he’ll reject it himself anyway, but top managerial jobs are hard to come by.

Don’t forget we’re missing Maddison and our squad is completely thin.

It will take a few windows.

We were shit tonight though, never looked like scoring.

Tonight's match may have ended with a loss, but there's not a hint of disappointment on my end. In fact, it was quite the opposite. Despite the challenges posed by injuries, the game showcased a spirited performance from our side, giving us a lot to be optimistic about.

Watching the team navigate the match with confidence and resilience under Ange's guidance was a testament to the positive direction we're heading in. My 11-year-old and I, despite the result, found joy in the shared experience of witnessing a great game.

The injuries we've been contending with make tonight's performance even more commendable. The team's ability to stand tall in the face of adversity speaks volumes about the character Ange has instilled.

So, no disappointment here—just a deep sense of gratitude for the joyous moments we've shared tonight and throughout the season. We'll take the lessons from tonight, heal from the injuries, and look forward with optimism for what lies ahead.

He must now realise the enormity of the job he has on. We're still a soft touch, collapse at the first sight of trouble. Until we fix our loser mentality we'll never amount to anything. I hope he can do that for us.

We have a goal scoring problem. For years we had Kane and Son to mask poor quality of football. Now we play decent on the eye football but opponents only have to pay special attention to Son. Until Maddison comes back we're struggling for another player who can make a late run and finish off a move.
