Yea not a great response. All he had to say is this club showed huge faith in bringing me to this football club so the least I can do is return thr favour

I’ve got a history of 26 years of management where you can see pretty clearly what I do. I rely on that as my explanation as to where my thought processes are

Can anyone enlighten me on what appears to be pretty clear on what he has done?

Takes an underachieving club, rebuilds it over 2-4 years and brings silverware to clubs (some of whom haven't had any success for a long time along the way).

Don’t expect Ange to stay forever. From his past it seems as if he gets fed up he goes.
Don’t expect him to end up at Liverpool, what has he done really. Doesn’t compare with Klopp when he got the Liverpool job.
Make the most of him while he’s here.
Would think Alonso gets it. Mostly because of his Liverpool connections. As it stands he hasn’t done that much although he may have done at the end of the season.

Ange has handled the media brillantly to date. Been a breath of fresh air.

Bur for the first time, you're left scratching your head with those quotes.

Too ambigious for me, and really he should of been saying, completely unambigiously, as that he sees his himself here long term and we're at the start of building something special.

Wouldnt surprise me if Liverpool have made him aware he's on their shortlist.

Right now it’s about finishing the season strongly with Tottenham and making sure we’re trying to establish a really strong foundation for who we want to be in the years to come. That can only happen if I’m totally focused on what these last 14 games can bring for us.
He wouldn't say the bolded part if he wasn't fully committed, or committed at all.

Cant see too many suitable alternatives if alonso doesn't get it..

Nagelsmann or maybe de Zerbi. Not a large selection pool

But he has said something like that by saying we have a long way to go and putting the foundations in place for who WE want to be for the years to come.

He did say this. It's just not been included in that short snippet.

if he actually manages to drag us out of the quagmire of mediocrity and we start properly challenging and , whisper it, winning things...why the fuck would he want to go to Liverpool or anywhere else

Having listened to the whole episode, he starts by making it clear that he has only just begun his work here, and that they are trying to build a successful squad for the future. He basically ridicules the idea of moving on at this point.

When pressed on whether he will definitely be here next season, he then says that he can't really comment because it's basically out of his control. If he was doing badly there would be speculation of being fired, if he is doing well, other speculation. His somewhat vague reference to his 26 year history in management and what it is he does is far more likely to mean his work at Spurs is only just beginning, which is what he also just spelled out.

When pressed on whether he thinks it is still a compliment to be associated with the Liverpool job, he says, well not really if it is just a question of possibly being on someones shortlist.

Bottom line, nothing to see here.

There is no way Postecoglou pushes for a move to Liverpool this summer, even if it is a job he would covet at some point in the future, and there is no way Levy even picks up the phone to discuss it with Liverpool. The guy has been here for 6 months and has a 4 year contract. He is going nowhere

Ange is under contract here, which makes it even less likely he leaves. I think there’s so many factors which make it unlikely he joins Liverpool at the moment: a) he’s only really started the job here b) he’s not really achieved anything here yet c) from Liverpool’s perspective his CV is not that remarkable d) Levy would demand full compensation to buy Ange out of his contract, so maybe Liverpool would see better value elsewhere

If you watch the presser he's fairly dismissive of the links to the Liverpool job vacancy. He's being pushed with multiple questions about it with the press hoping to get a soundbite, but there's nothing in it.

Asking him if he thinks he will still be at Spurs come next season, he's not just thinking about the context of the Liverpool job but also a context of just a few minutes ago talking about Roy Hodgson getting sacked by Palace, which explains his response to say it's not something in his control.
