Reading Joses comments this morning he and the club are playing the game that we don't need to spend.. Or he has brought in to the Levy transfer policy... quoting the usual shit that has been quoted year in year out of acting differently in the transfer marker not being able to compete with big clubs and being happy with the squad...

dull and insipid, two chances created in 45 and always likely to leak at least one from a set piece

the more things change the more they stay the same

the quality is there in the squad but those underperforming never get the hook

I think Jose is a pragmatist at heart. I think its points first and style later. The path to least resistance style will be it for now. Lets face it, this team was broken under Poch. The results clearly pointed to a very poor finish this year on the back of a long period of deterioration in form and style of play.

Jose has the unenviable task of bringing back consistency in results and form along with keeping up with the top 4. Not an easy task. People moaning about winning in style will have to wait. There are too many structural issues with the squad to sort out for a start. Slow and easy does it. I think Top 4 will be a big ask.
One huge difference this season is playing without erisken, it’s like when modric left us, people only realised how vital he was once he’d gone and as shit as Eriksen has been this season because his head is at Madrid, no one can deny that he was our fulcrum of play for the last 3-4 seasons. Add to that today that we are without son and this truely is a mid table team. Barely any of our players would get in City lpool or Leicester or Chelsea teams.

jose tactics are a little negative and it’s hard to get used to the lack of pressing and possession and more long balls but without creative players it’s easy to defend against and boring, however we need to give him time and get some better midfielders on the pitch

As I said put more creative players on and look what happened, we competely bossed the 2nd half when lo celso and erisken came on.
We need to get lo celso and ndomble up to speed and fitness and we need to sign an erisken replacement.

great turnaround well done the team and Jose for changing it up.

I would like his reasoning for not starting the ball players in GLC and Eriksen, and starting Sissoko Winks Moura and Sess instead. It’s baffling he can’t see it himself.
In the end Dier came on with Sissoko in the middle and pushed GLC/Eriksen out wide and we instantly invited them back. I really have no fucking clue..

So I would like to think that Jose has learnt his lesson but unfortunately how we changed things up as soon as we got the second may show that he actually hasnt.

Obviously Norwich game he will be forced to change things up with Winks and Sissoko suspended.

We played so much better with ball playing midfielders in GLC and Eriksen. We hav ethe creativity and the players but Jose is just holding them back with the tactics..

He's been getting it wrong every game.
If he cannot see what's wrong then were in serious trouble.
We controlled the game when GLC and then Eriksen came on.
We lost control when he brought Dier on.
We won the football match though, besides Burnley we've been up and down because of what he has at his disposal. Better be ready to put up with it.

Early signs under Jose are not promising! Does need to be given time though and more importantly backing from the board to get rid of the players who clearly need to be sold and backing In buying players

We won because Mourhino had to change the game not because of his starting line up.
We have the midfielders to win games he should try starting them from the off.

He changed it though and won the game, doing what a good manager also does ... Stop mugging yourself off.

He’s won 5 in 8 if I’m not mistaken and we’ve gone from 14th to 6th and we lost 3-0 to Brighton in the reverse fixture so what exactly isn’t promising?

he’s working with what he’s got at the moment, 2nd half they didn’t have a single chance, give him more time to coach them and get some better midfielders back fit or signed and we will look a different team, sure Man U and Chelsea games were disappointing but our midfield isn’t good enough to win top6 matches with dier winks sissoko, but I think we will keep improving, many more positive signs than negative ones and results are key now anyway.
