Talking to a load of Juve fans last night and it's incredible how much interest they are now taking in Spurs because Fabio has been appointed DOF.
They're fascinated with his signings and the way in which our two clubs came together to facilitate the Romero move with Atalanta.
I have a feeling there is a very positive rapport now with Juventus and Spurs, which can only help smooth the way with future dealings that affect both of them.
We have definitely acquired a few more overseas fans because of recent developments. Now if I can just get them to buy a shirt (y)

Is anybody else getting a ‘bit’ concerned?

It’s been well documented by Ali G and others that there are a number of players to move on:

Aurier
Sissoko
Sanchez
Winks
CCV
Clarke
Dier
Davies

With the incomings, we need to bring in:

Another CB
RB
CM?
AM
CF (x1 or x2).

There’s 3 weeks left. ?

Yeah. Lots of execution risk in that. And I struggle to see this will be much more than a season of rebuilding even if we get them.

But that’s OK - we needed a reset. Let’s see

We don’t *need* to move on Aurier, Clarke, or Davies. And I suspect the feeling in the club is that we don’t *need* to move Dier on either.

Not really.

The other RB is supposedly Tomiyasu, which has been pending the end of the olympics for weeks, it seems.
Davinson seems to be gone, but Seville aren't going to have the funds until Kounde's transfer is sorted.

I expect our outs of Sissoko and Winks, at the least, are going to happen quite quickly, Villa probably haven't seen their new money clear yet.

I don't think Dier is going anywhere, and from what I've seen of CCV in pre-season, I don't think he's a concern to have around if he doesn't mind being a back-up/cup player.

Aurier's a concern as it's our last chance to get decent money for him, but ability wise I'd be happy to keep him.

Yea it’s a concern. Look at our likely starting 11 v City and our team looks a shambles with no first 11 signing improving it. Minus Kane as well.

All we have is ITK that we will bring in 5 more players but until we do, as it stands we look weak.

Lots of goals gone with bale and Kane out of the team
Lots of goals and overall play was "lost" last time Bale leaved also, but we were a regular CL team after that. We can not rely only on Kane. Now is the time to get the money for him and move him on, i am certain it will be the best for spurs to strengthen with 3 players for that money in the long run.

It is not like every goal scored by Kane a season, just goes away when he leaves, another player will be in the team and the overall play and positioning/responsibility falls on other players. It's just not as black and white that all those goals disappear

I fear we’ve been swept up by the giddy joy of having a DOF and the amount of ITK we’ve had compared to recent seasons.

The reality is that the season starts in 7 days and we’ve signed only one player who will get into our first team.

There are also several players still at the club who should have been sold by now.

The Kane situation cannot be a surprise either.

We need to get a move on.

We are never prepared for the start of a season. We go into the City game without 1 new signing likely to start and without the likes of Bale, Kane, Toby. This isn’t on the DOF or the manager, both of whom were appointed 6-8 weeks too late. It’s just Spurs. Always underprepared.

I am guessing you are blaming Levy? give him a break yeah, he has been busy over the last couple of years with his lab in Wuhan, only taking time out briefly to sail his ship down the Suez canal.

Agree, if not for the Kane debacle more focus would be on how poorly prepared we look for the upcoming season, and how badly we have been managed over the past year or so. Kane leaving for good money could provide Nuno and Paratici the best opportunity to reset the team, Levy will be praying it does.

100% this. We have a hell of a lot of deadwood to shift and replace with improved players

Need to get our foot on the accelerator here.

We have moved on Foyth, Toby, Rose and Gazzinga but only really added Romero and a back up GK (although Skipp and Sessgnon will obviously also add to freshen the team up).

I don’t hold out much hope for this but getting in a couple of defenders before the city game is crucial

And the club wonders why it hasn’t been able to sell out the first match of the season against a Category A opponent. Fans voting with their feet.
