I think we need to be extremely careful the next few days. We need to not panic and buy utter shit, I do think we need to turn the screw on some important signings. Honestly I think we need to consider paying more than we'd like on a RWB and Forward now and just keep Conte content. Just filling his squad with dross will not appease the man I don't believe.

No idea how some can absolve him of any blame. I thought ITKs have already mentioned Levy has entrusted much of the negotiation duties to him. Although Levy is the final person to sign off purchases, I don't think he is dabbling with much of the footballing decision as he used to. Paratici obviously has the power and authority to sanction deals and convince Levy to sign off, which had already been proven with the disastrous appointment of Nuno.

The signings and the ones not signed are totally on him.

Agree... and we still have to find clubs for Dele and Tanguy... if we don't, I don't think much will happen... difficult job for Fabio cleaning up the mess from previous years :)

He's absolutely useless.

This notion that he's got so many irons in the fire and has all these deals lined up waiting to pull the trigger is pure fallacy that's thrown around like it's a positive. It leaves us looking desperate and foolish and quite frankly pathetic.

Weird how no other DoF has a trait like that thrown around like it's some major positive. Bloke is a clown.

I think the strategy of having multiple deals lined up ready to pull the trigger on was something Romario (former poster, since banned) may have just made up. It hasn't been proven to be accurate in reality.

That said, for some reason I'm still hopeful we'll bring in a couple of good players- he can't leave Conte high and dry surely?

This is starting to look a little like the jose appointment.

a man surpassed by football. This scatter gun approach is naive. We are working the same way united do but without the reputation to pull it off.

I was skeptical in the summer. Especially after the Nuno appointment. This is a club in desperate need of some structure, stability and progressiveness. We have world class facilities but lack the structure.

I will hold out till the end of summer to fully berate but so far bar the signing of Romero, Paratici is looking another mistake by the board.

When talks were of a DoF coming to Tottenham last year. I was hoping for someone of the same ilk as Dortmund, RBL, leicester, Brighton even, Lille. Some new ideas. Not the man who brought Ronaldo to juventus

anyways reserving the rest of my judgement.

The thing that frustrates me most is they have gone about improving our scouting structure but we don’t seem to be going for anyone apart from the obvious for the first team. If we decide to go down the route of signing high potential prospects I have no issue with it. There just doesn’t seem to be a clear plan

Levy's eyes probably lit up at his Free Transfer record....

Appears Paratici is getting a fair amount of stick, along with levy, from the likes of Ali Gold, PO etc...
Think it’s pretty fair & valid. He’s been brought into change the setup and decisions… and what’s changed? 28 days into the window and we’ve accomplished nothing. What was being lined up and worked on in the months between September and now?

It’s really difficult to think it’s all going to plan when you get the Traore and Diaz deals playing out as they have done.

They did say his weakness was getting players out the door. When you see Gooners able to get Maitland Niles, Chambers out and interest in Aubameyang...does make you wonder what he is doing.

Guess will also have to remember without him, there would be no Conte.

MN on a loan with no option to buy, Chambers on a free transfer, Aubameyang... ?

The world is performance based and not attempts based. Paratici doesn’t perform then he should go. His current appraisal isn’t good and he should hope he gets some good outcomes soon.
