Erik ten Hag’s Manchester United are reportedly trying to sign Ivan Perisic from Ange Postecoglou’s Tottenham Hotspur in the summer transfer window.

Interestingly, United are also trying to sign Perisic’s Tottenham teammate and fellow left-back Sergio Reguilon.

They can forget about Perisic. But they are after short term cover for left back, could be worth loaning Reguilón for half a season if they pay his wages for full season.
Then he'd get exposure being at United and hopefully be more attractive for a permanent transfer somewhere next summer. No one is coming in with big money now any way.

If its just wages I'd rather our club take the financial hit rather than help out a club who likely/hopefully will be one of our key rivals this season.

Chelsea have twice (I think) had the hubris to loan out players to Arsenal only to finish below then and I don't fancy doing similar without the allure of a proper fee.

New tactics, new approach, new attitude in the team will hopefully bring the best out of them both.

Our fans are always ruthless wankers when it comes to shooting down left or right backs. Wonder whatever happened to that Trippier lad so many fans said wasn't good enough?

On the one hand I'd like for players like Reguilon to be able to go somewhere and carry on their career successfully but I'm also not inclined to help a rival

And the pundits think United will finish top 4 when they need our fourth choice left back in Reguilon.
