I think we'll surprise a few here.

I'm going for a well earned point, 1-1. Eriksen free kick.

Depends on if their midfield clicks. I think we could get over run in the middle in a cm2.
Feeling ok about it, fancy a draw. 1-1.

I would call a win surprising, a draw may raise the odd eyebrow but pretty much any result can happen on first day of the season.

I reckon we'll draw. Probably take the lead before giving away a penalty in the 70th minute, or something along those lines.

Gone for a draw in my predictor too.

Whilst van Gaal has looked to solve some problem area's, there are still a lot of question marks going into this season with De Gea's future still up in the air and a backline where he doesn't know his best unit and a good chance of Blind starting at CB.

Pressure is absolutely on United to make a strong start to the campaign and I do think we will cause them problems but we can't afford to be bossed in the middle of the park - that's my overriding worry, especially if it's a CM2 of whatever pairing.

I think a lot of it comes down to belief as well. If we arrive there expecting to get beat that's exactly what will happen.

But if we work hard as a team for one another there's every chance we'll get something barring another referring injustice.

United could well be a bit disjointed on the day to with all their new signings etc.

I think its a good time to play Man Utd. Lets hope they havent settled as a team yet, considering all the new signings.
If we turn up I think we can get something.

Possible United team:

De Gea

Darmian
Jones
Blind
Shaw

MS
Herrera

Mata
Depay
Young

Rooney

To be honest that's a very strong looking midfield and attack, but at the back they look questionable and can't have built much of an understanding either.

If we're solid defensively as a team I really do think we stand a decent chance against that side.

I like the info details on the banner @chrissivad (y)

I'd like to think we have a shout at a win, I'm not saying we're nailed on, far from it, but we need to show confidence and start the game with a positive mind. I'm more confident of going there first game of the season, and this season, than previous seasons. Our defence needs to show steely resolve against their attack and I honestly believe Kane and our attacking players should worry their defence more than previous United teams. (NB: Would be delighted with a draw though!) ;)

COYS! :)

Like many have said if we can hit them cold we have a chance.

We need to defend well, whether we can is another question.

I would look to start with Tripper ahead of Walker, and the Muscles from Brussels as our centrehalves and Danny Boy at left back.

I'd be brave and play Alli with Bentaleb with Chadli, Dembele, Eriksen with Harry up front.

I feel we have to match them physically, hence having Dembele and Chadli to start.

Like many, it's make or break for Dembele who only three seasons ago, shone against United with Fulham. I know he's had his injuries but now is the time for no excuses and prove he can become the player he promised to be.

The only worry is that we have no genuine pace in attack.

Keep possession, keep them quiet and defend well and we could repeat the result we had against the Italians on the weekend.
