Will be really interested to see who picks up Aarons now and how he progresses. I thought we were a dead cert to sign him. I am surprised I haven’t seen any clubs being linked to him.

Sounds promising, trying not to get my hopes up too much but hes quality would be delighted with this.

I've always loved this shit. They are bracing themselves for a bid. How does that work? Does someone send around a memo warning everyone that it is going to happen and give advice on how to cope, where the lifeboats are located, where to gather when the klaxons go off and offer up counselling or something?

Preparing a bid is another. Just how long does that yoke take? There's loads of this transfer cliche bollocks.......smokescreen used to be massively popular :D

Also works as a warning for Mrs Levy. Or for fans in the West Stand lower.

Thierry Correira is really bad from what I seen, lool. I love Mendes
He's got so much potential it is unreal. I watched him at Sporting at the start of last season, and in pre-season, and he was looking fantastic. I was gutted when he went to Valencia. Personally, I didn't think he was ready for a move then, but Sporting were in the midst of a fire sale. The same is happening at Valencia now of course. I didn't then follow his season at Valencia, but it looks like he only played a couple of games.

On that, I would be very surprised if he is being brought into Wolves and expected to start every week. Not sure he's a replacement for Doherty, personally.

It sounds like the transfer window is coming back down to more reasonable figures which can only be a good thing. If we get Doherty for around £15m I think that's a fair deal for someone of his quality. The only reason it has raised eyebrows is because of the over inflated transfer fees now.

As others have said, the fact Thierry Correira is a Mendes player probably suggests this deal will get done and probably soon too, depending on if we need funds from selling Aurier.

Levy gets a lot of shit but he’s done a good job this summer so far. Get a back up striker in before the start of the season and we are looking in possibly the best shape we’ve been in in quite some time. All we’d really have left to do is sort out the Ndombele situation and possibly replace Foyth.

Someone made a good point yesterday regarding this. If Jose has told Mendes that he wants him, Mendes has a very big pull at Wolves and could play a huge factor in getting Doherty to us. He has turned Wolves into a very good team with a lot of his players and they will want to keep him sweet. Complete speculation but it fills me with more optimism that this deal could definitely happen. I don't think it will be £12m, I think with add ons it could total between £15-20m but that would still be good business and it would be fantastic to have a RWB with his quality on the ball.

So Mendes has a stake in wolves ? And just to float Jose boat he’s going to weaken a team he has a vested interest in and strengthen another direct competitor? Makes no sense.

Savvy purchase, for me. I’d like to see us invest in a young RB to mold (Tavares, maybe?).
I don’t want to go overboard after one performance there but it’s literally all we can go on but I’d say Gedson played well enough at RB against Ipswich and I think he deserves the chance to prove he’s worth turning his loan into a permanent deal.

He's brining in his own clients to Wolves - makes perfect sense

You underestimate the power Mendes has at Wolves. He is the reason the likes of Moutinho, Neves, Jota, Jimenez and Boly are at the club. Without Mendes, Wolves would still be in the championship with a considerably worse squad.

Id say Wolves would be stupid to upset Mendes by refusing to sell him, rather than the other way round.

If you’re not excited by this signing, then I can only assume you haven’t watched the Premier League in the last 4 years.
I've been watching it since it started.
As I say I'll wait to be excited, hopefully I will be.

He's making money bringing Doherty to Spurs and making even more money bringing Correira to Wolves. It makes sense
