Do-her-ty.Can anyone tell me if it's pronounced Dock-erty or Doe-erty? It would be nice to know one way or the other.
You’d think it was a town in Wales or something...

Am I being thick or does absolutely no one add the -ck sound to Doherty? It’s just some awful Midlands bastardization I’d assume as I’ve only ever heard Wolves fans say it that way.Do-her-ty.

It’s this fella’s fault...Am I being thick or does absolutely no one add the -ck sound to Doherty? It’s just some awful Midlands bastardization I’d assume as I’ve only ever heard Wolves fans say it that way.

I've seen a few *GOALS ASSISTS & SKILLS* videos for Doherty, has anyone come across anything that highlights the defensive side of his game? He looks great going forward but I wanted to compare him to Aurier defensivley as I've never seen the guy play. Any video or just "yes he's a better defender than Aurier" would suffice
Also I wonder how the Wolves fans that denied the move was happening, or that they'd get Sessegnon and £20m for him are getting on
Bet he has family that pronounces it that way. It’s a Scottish thing too. Half my family are Doherty and it’s all pronounced Dock-er-tee
If it’s spelt Doherty,it’s always. doe er tee Irish.Am I being thick or does absolutely no one add the -ck sound to Doherty? It’s just some awful Midlands bastardization I’d assume as I’ve only ever heard Wolves fans say it that way.
Genius haha, whoever is doing digital marketing at Spurs at the moment is absolutely nailing it. We used to be streets behind on that stuff.

Or one of those funky gaelic names that's spelt Fhdhaoeataoigh but pronounced "doe-er-tee" in the invader's tongue
Could his attacking ability help Dele get back to his best? Doherty loves a diagonal cross and Dele loves a late run.
Something I've noticed about Dele is that he makes a lot of runs and is rarely passed to. Then after about half an hour his head goes down and he stops trying.
I suspect this has gone a long way to accounting for his lack of form for the last couple of seasons. And a big part of it is actually down to our poster boys Kane and Son who are much greedier now as well as the rest of the teams inabilty to find him.
It would be great if Doherty can get him a few goals as we should then see the real Dele for 90 minutes rather than only up to the point he gives up due to wasting his time.
