"It is less hard than when we were at Southampton and Tottenham, trust me," Pochettino assured reporters on Tuesday afternoon. "But all we are missing is scoring goals. If you see our first few months at Southampton or Tottenham, I think we are playing much better. We are doing much better here but we are missing the most important thing in football, scoring. It is not harder than the previous experience."

When asked how it is more difficult than Spurs, the Argentine continued: "It was different because the transformation was with us. In the way that we found the squad with the club, we were working in six months or one year to change and design the strategy.

"Here, the plan was already made and we arrived here and we tried to develop this project. We decided the plan with the club also at Tottenham. When I arrive here, the plan had already started to work and now I am part of the plan. I’m responsible here, like I was at Tottenham but it was a little bit different."

Makes it sound like we just didn't have a plan until Poch and his team sorted us out.

To be fair I think people do tend to forget that Poch’s first few months at Spurs were a bit rough.

But I think Chelsea is a totally different proposition. He’s talking about a year or six months when he was here to implement his ideas. Whereas he’ll be lucky to get six more matches at Chelsea unless things improve significantly.

This could form part of his resignation letter.

Given time Poch will sort them out. He's an excellent manager and his team will come good. No matter where he is I can't help but support the man. Proper conflicted atm when it come to him succeeding

Not conflicted here. Want him to stay at Chelsea for 10 years and they stay near the bottom. No problem at all.

That's going to be the problem for him

Of course it's less hard, you have 40 players to choose from, most of whom are world class and you've spent £450m this summer. It was more difficult at Southampton and Spurs because you had a smaller budget.

As I said when people wanted him back here, I don't think he's come up with anything new or groundbreaking since the few years when he had us pressing really high. When that ran out of steam, things stagnated until he got fired. He didn't do anything exceptional at PSG either and he's walked into a nightmare at Chelsea. I doubt Boehly will have any patience at all so it's not looking good for him imo.

Yep. Pretty much this. I want him to tank *edit* I want Chelsea to tank, he just happens to be at the helm, which, I guess, amounts to the same thing...

He said he got to make a plan at Tottenham but was given one which he has to get on with at Chelsea. That felt to me like a nice way of saying, "this isn't all my fault".

Sadly I don’t think he is that great, it’s an utter sin he didn’t get us over the line, he failed at PSG if we’re all honest. I have no I’ll will for him, but I couldn’t give a shot if he fails at that classless lot.
