He failed, but the way the club is run, it's setup to fail.

Not sure if this next few years will be different with Leonardo leaving also this time, but until they stop trying to bring players in based on name they will keep failing. Maybe it says something that they arent trying to go after Ronaldo (from what i can tell) as I wouldnt have put it past them if they were sticking to their methods of the last five years. Pogba as well, though they did entertain that idea i think.
Ronaldo would never go to a club like PSG. He wants the formation to be built around him and he wouldn't be the best player there.

Supposedly talking with Nice today, which would be a daft move imo. No rush for Poch given that Nagelsmann & Allegri are under pressure, and if he wanted to return to England I imagine Leicester, Villa & maybe West Ham'll be free soon.

Mostly waiting for the beautiful schadenfreude of the PSG fans who insult him to watch them be knocked out of the only competition they care about again. ****s.

I think he should go for the first two you mention, although whether they are the right job for him I am doubtful. But surely he is above those three Premier League clubs now? It might be the right level for him to go for but I think he has too much arrogance (in a good way) and pride to drop down that far and I don't think he should either.

Difficult cos I think what he does best as a coach is what he did with us; building teams. You're just not going to get that at PSG or Bayern where if you don't win you're out. Looking at say, Villa, there's a club with a lot of potential that would take to him well - think he'd suit that more than being the latest on Angelli's firing line.

Nice have brought in potential quality free transfer/loans but just as likely over paid rejects (Nicolas Pepe, Aaron Ramsay and Ross Barkley). Add in Kaspar Schmeichel moving for the money but dropped to the bench at the weekend and you wonder who is in charge of such an obviously extravagantly (wage wise) flawed transfer strategy. I suppose these players can only improve on their performances at their previous clubs but not really the ideal youthful squad for Poch to start out with.

Nice to see that Nabil Bentaleb scored the winner against them at the weekend!

Can't see him lasting at Bayern or Juventus. He's probably better suited to Nice-level teams. Still think he should go to Spain next.

Yeah Villa would be the best choice out of the ones you mention. They have the money to spend too....or they did anyway. If I were their owners I would definitely be making discreet enquires with him as to whether he fancied the job. If he did then they should drop Gerrard today.

Yeah, fuck 'em. Where would they be without the endless supply of filthy money supplied to them by the Qatari government?

So many of us felt gutted when Poch got sacked, but truth be told, we were playing some absolutely awful football at the time. and had been doing so for ages, IIRC.

But that was then and this is now, three and a half years later. There are many Spurs fans who'd love to see him return to us one day. I'd love to ask him what he thinks he's learnt about the game and his style of management since he got tin-tacked, and what (if anything) he thinks he would do differently if he was ever invited back.

Just curious.

He lost interest in his job and us so no way should we be considering taking him back.
