Sorry, but I just don’t agree that he was a weak link. His long passes was the catalyst to a few of our attacks as well. He gave away the pen, sure, but that was after Martial skinned a few of our other players uncontested. Somebody had to make a tackle. After the penalty he was good. I’d love Skriniar too, and atm I’d see him as an upgrade for sure, but I’m not willing to write off Sanchez like some others have done.
I didn't say to give up on him but he was our weakest player today...I think he will become a top CB but he needs to work on his composure. He has a bit of early walker about him he's so physically gifted he uses that to get himself out of trouble rather than pre-empting the problem which is why when the opposition players can match him for pace and strength he suddenly starts to look rushed and a bit panicked...I think that will change with time like it did with walker But if you want to win things with the level of teams around us we have to be ruthless and always look to improve on your weaknesses.
