Sorry, but I just don’t agree that he was a weak link. His long passes was the catalyst to a few of our attacks as well. He gave away the pen, sure, but that was after Martial skinned a few of our other players uncontested. Somebody had to make a tackle. After the penalty he was good. I’d love Skriniar too, and atm I’d see him as an upgrade for sure, but I’m not willing to write off Sanchez like some others have done.

I didn't say to give up on him but he was our weakest player today...I think he will become a top CB but he needs to work on his composure. He has a bit of early walker about him he's so physically gifted he uses that to get himself out of trouble rather than pre-empting the problem which is why when the opposition players can match him for pace and strength he suddenly starts to look rushed and a bit panicked...I think that will change with time like it did with walker But if you want to win things with the level of teams around us we have to be ruthless and always look to improve on your weaknesses.

Centre back is still a weak area at the moment, out of our three main centre backs Sanchez is only one with pace and would be worrying pairing Dier And Alderweireld.

Maybe Tanganga can stake a claim when fully fit, but if we can get Skriniar would be awesome as do feel we are a bit weak at centre back at the moment.

Come on people, we aren't winning the league this season, Srkiniar or no Skriniar. We're still a Gio and Ndombele injury away from Winks and Sissoko in midfield.

But we have a decent chance in the cups.

Edit: clearly some think we are winning the league. I guess we'll see.

Hoping that Levy has been watching a lot of football over the weekend, because there's an opportunity to mount a proper title challenge.

Missing piece of the team. Can not rely on Dier and Sanchez for a whole season.

Think though the chance is below 10 % now.

Don't be so negative.

I don't think anyone is saying we will win it, like it's almost a certainty, but are believing we CAN win it.

We've an incredible squad with an exceptionally experienced and successful manager.

We are in it until we can't win it so its not that they all think we will they just think you are being too negative is all

I'm allowed my opinion, same as you mate.

Sure, just giving my opinion on your opinion mate lol.

I think we should believe a bit more though...we've had a negative attitude swirling around the Club for far too long.

Mourinho will change that though.

Amazing transfer window so far, Levy obviously has to make sure the books are balanced but what a statement it would be if we could get this one done tomorrow! COYS ?

If Levy forks it up for Skriniar, we will have a real chance at the big one this season. It’s wide open. This is a massive opportunity. Come on, Levy!

we’ve been here before with Levy when we’ve got so close, we’ve only needed THAT one or two extra and we didn’t do it, and fell short. Maybe he’s learned his lesson....? ??

Just have to hope Levy is looking at the madness of this season and thinking there's no better chance at winning a title.

Early days but it's up for grabs at the moment and Skriniar would give us a team with the ability and depth to challenge anyone.

Nobody in world football has the perfect squad. At the same time, you could say Liverpool are a Alison injury away from Adrian, Arsenal a Aubameyang injury away from Nketiah, Everton a James Rodriguez injury away from Tom Davies. I could go on, point being we now have one of the most balanced squads in the league.
I'm not saying we're going to win the league, but adding a top CB like Skriniar certainly won't hurt our chances.
