Totally. Kante papers over cracks by basically doing the work of 2 midfielders, Rice not so much. There’s probably a Rice Paper joke in here somewhere but it’s not coming to me. Basically, I think Rice is a decent player, but Kante is on another planet.

Agree. Rice is very limited as a player and not in the same class

If you've ever done business with Italian companies you would know that they're always coming back with a disagreement on something you thought you'd agreed and the price or offer will change at the last minute. Don't take it so seriously it's all part of the game.

They are losing to fiorentina currently. Hopefully it speeds up the transfer
Conversely, Inter fans are pissed off and want Skriniar in the team, so maybe they won't sell him now.

According to them it’s the fact he doesn’t fit that back 3 but they also think he needs more time to adapt to that style. He’s highly rated by the fans tho

Inter just 2 goals in a few mins lol

Is so weird, a CB that has fallen out of favour yet they demanded such high price for him. They totally have no edge in the negotiation isn't it.

their edge comes from the fact that he has a contract. and if a team fails to match the valuation they make, they can always reintegrate the player and try to make it work, assuming that relationships haven't totally collapsed. I mean, even if they are, it can drag on for a long time.

Like when we were supposedly trying to sell ndombele (Although this had no real mainstream media substance behind it except a few Italian and French reports). No leverage except the level of desperation we feel to sign him.
