Everything crossed for a speedy recovery for Mollie. I’m not sure about going to a Spurs game, aren’t things tough enough already! Seriously there are some good sorts on this forum.
Just want to send some love from my family to yours.Mollie Update - First off apologies for no update yesterday, it became abit stressful.
Unfortunately we have encountered our first complications, She has fluid on her lungs, a pneumothorax, one of her arteries is narrow and her old aorta stent (from before) may need looking at. 3 of these things are normal with transplant patients and the last 1 is a complication from when she only had half a heart.
She is having a CT scan today today to see the how the fluid is doing on her lungs and also to see how narrow the artery and aorta are, she is having a biopsy on her new heart next week (this is standard) and depending on the results of the CT is whether they go in and open the artery/aorta up with a balloon/stent.
Shit news is she is going back on the breathing tube for a few days to get her lungs inflated properly. If you listen closely you will probably hear the Darth Vadar type *NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO* all the way from London.
As an aside, one of her Registrars is a Spurs fan, so COYS!
It’s the bloody least I can do on behalf of the Spurs family. That is unbelievably kind, I literally do not know what to say to that mate. Mollie is going to be blown away! I am 100% calm tho ofc....
Such a great thing to do, nice one mate.I guess with such a major operation it was never going to be plain sailing. Fingers crossed these implications can all be overcome very swiftly and Mollie can commence her recovery without the need for the breathing tube - bless her the little warrior.
Once the dust has settled on all of this and Mollie and Ted are back to full fitness I’d like to give you my three season tickets for a game as I think you deserve a day out (I can’t guarantee it’ll be fun - but something for you all to look forward to).
DM me and we can sort for the start of the new season maybe
That's amazing news mate!! Fair play that kid, I'm grumpy enough with a cold lolMollie Update - Another good night for Mollie. And some really good news in as it has been a worrisome couple of days since the wobbles.
Mollie has this morning had all of her chest drains removed and is hoping to have the breathing tube taken out again later day. On the negative side she is as miserable as sin, but I think she has earned it!.
So glad to hear she is doing well. I hope the fluid problem sorts itself out soon.Mollie Update - Mollie has now had her breathing tube removed, all chest drains are out and her Sats are in the high 90's. She is doing so well and has kicked on alot since Weds last week. The only fly in the ointment is the fluid is making a comeback, not alot but it is there again. Drs are going to see where it goes but if it gets worse they will be through playing Mr Nice guy.
She is due to go up to a Ward (side room) tonight or tomorrow!
Fantastic news. So pleased for you all xxFirst biopsy results are in, 0 sign of rejection =) What a beautiful day!
Indeed, that is great news... So happy for you and your wife and the rest of your family.. xFirst biopsy results are in, 0 sign of rejection =) What a beautiful day!
