The title says it all on this one,

Potentially the striker(s) we need; both quite different in style, 1st team exposure, potential, but which would you prefer and why? I would consider these to be similarly priced

we could get morata on a free. technically speaking

Marca did an expose on Real Madrid saying that Real couldn't secure a loan of £86million from the banks with them having high amounts of debt already so the bale transfer was split in to 3/4 payments iirc. I seem to remember it being 4 payments, the first 2 payments of €30mill and the last two of €20mill

So it would make financial sense for Real Madrid to transfer an assets instead of cash. Especially since they are under investigation for being government funded

Either would be brilliant. I fear they will be in great demand and we will not have the pulling power to get them. Chelsea will not want to sell to us unless there is something in it for them, like Paulinho.

I agree but would the two clubs ever agree on the value for the player? Madrid would want to set an exorbitantly high value while Levy will know that they're lubed up and ready to be shafted

He has had a terrible season though, he has become the spanish Harry Kane for Real Madrid

Of course he is better but he is playing the same role as kane, i.e coming on for 15mins and perhaps a start if he is lucky or against a lesser side

yes but how has he been terrible? 8 goals in 578 minutes, he has generally affected games when coming on and frankly given benzema's recent form, he was perhaps a tad unlucky not to start yesterday. if morata's been terrible then i'd hate to think how you'd describe soldado's season.

Would that stop Madrid though? If his market value was £11,000,000 Madrid would probably value him at £17,500,000 and Spurs would want to value him at less than the market value, especially as we're aware of what's going on with their finances.
If I was in Daniel's position and Perez floated this kind of deal I'd want a player that would be seen as a marque player (from Spurs POV) coming this way.

Terrible is harsh but has been bad or poor

It was expected he would make an impact this season and 8 goals aside he didnt make the impact he was expected to

The thing is he is the only striker other than Benzema and yet he was about 3rd/4th choice after Jese or pushing one of the midfield there.

Yes he scored 8 goals but other than the goals against Levante and Espanyol most of them came when they were winning by 3 or 4 goals

I think Real Madrid almost certainly would want a buy back clause and this will be the major issue

I wouldnt mind try for Isco since they want Rakitic

Well that's depressing..
The liverpool link has been months ago and Im guessing Man Utd would be interested.

I don't think we have anywhere to play him. Apparently Ancelotti really wants Rakitic who is in his last year of his contract. Which you would expect Isco to leave as he has been hardly playing with Di Maria being converted to AM. I would love him though:

Isco ------------- Lamela
Eriksen
Sandro Paulinho

Isco did one move last night that was absolutely insane.

If Real want to write off debt by giving us players, Isco is the one for me.
