I just read this on the BBC site for this evening's programme. Doesn't really bother me that much - made me chuckle more than anything... long may we remain under the radar

http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b03bsp9j

Mark Chapman introduces highlights of the day's two Premier League matches, and reflects on Saturday's top-flight action. It is the first Manchester derby of the season, with the managers of both United and City getting their first taste of this unique rivalry. David Moyes will be used to the intensity of such games, having overseen plenty of Merseyside derbies in his time as Everton manager. However, the Scot had a poor record in those clashes, and will be hoping for a change of fortunes now he is at Manchester United. His opposite number, Manuel Pellegrino, was sacked after just a season at Real Madrid - in part because his side finished behind arch-rivals Barcelona - so the Chilean also understands the importance of getting the better of big rivals.
In the day's early kick-off, Arsenal host Stoke, hoping to extend their perfect home record in Premier League fixtures against the Potters, having won on all five previous occasions. Could new Stoke manager Mark Hughes inspire his side to end their losing streak?

Well to be fair The bbc love football thread barely registered any football happening outside of Manchester.

One massive paragraph about two clubs lower than us in the table... ;)

Happy to have the spotlight off us at this stage of the season. They'll start to notice us in a few weeks.

They won't notice us unless the scum fall away. Actually I doubt we'll be considered contenders at all this season by the media, they all have their stories planned and we're in none of them.

I can't even see our match report on the BBC football front page. It's a bit of a joke really.

Have to say I'm absolutely baffled why more people arnt mentioning us. Not conceding any goals, loads of new players - and extremely good ones - the odds of us improving progressively as the League continues is high.

All great sides are tough to beat. At long last we have became that. When we fully click we could be a serious threat this season, just can't believe we aren't being mentioned - although its probably a good thing and partly AVB's recent comments were designed to influence this perception.

We're missing in a lot of MotD summaries so far this season i've noticed.

My life hasn't changed for the worse because of it though, and it makes me a bit miffed that the Orient are the only team in the top 5 divisions with a 100% record, yet barely anyone has batted an eyelid. 3 points clear at the top of Div 1, a game and 5 goals to the good in hand, from a team that really struggled at the end of last year - surely that deserves some recognition, BBC? Even just a short article or interview with a few of the players/staff?

No?

The amount of BBC coverage given to the Manc derby is ridiculous, with their live text they reported absolutely everything, and then gave a few fleeting references to our game, think there were 2 vague updates per half of our match. They reported better for the few minutes our match went on after the derby finished.

It is the world's biggest rivalry, didn't you know? All other rivalries pale into insignificance next to it...
