Sorry if this is old news, but someone enlighten us on what the actual status is with him. It all seems too weird to me with various rumours doing the circuit with no foundation.

Can't sign a pro deal (thereby get a work permit) till his birthday in January.

Him and Edwards (old enough this month sometime) could be the two signings of the year (or we'll look back in 3-4 years' time and think so). Two of the best teenager players in the world

Let's hope so

Chat on the ITK thread is that it'll be surprising if he comes back.

I think the club might be using smoke and mirrors. Either we've got him bound by some deal not quite kosher with the home office, or we're still worried about late gazumpers, so are keeping him well hidden away.

Also there are a few people claiming to be his agent, who aren't, looking for paydays touting round a player they aren't attached to

Yahaya has had his 18th birthday in December assume he can't sign till Jan as that's when Window opens.

Either way was told not to expect him back a while ago. Assume permit issues

Looks a credible source...

well it's the best we've got, it's from this guy https://twitter.com/guysly2much who claims to have direct links to yahaya's club and agent.

Mr. Mowiz‏@guysly2much
Musa Yahaya deal was killed when his club Muntunchi tried to bypass his main agent Babawo Mohammed and deal with Spurs directly

Mr. Mowiz‏@guysly2much
They showed the highest level of how not to transfer a player by approaching Spurs directly, same team that has been dealing with Babawo

Mr. Mowiz‏@guysly2much
They complicated issues by asking Spurs to shred the agreement with Babawo and negotiate fresh terms with them. How sad? Spurs pulled out

Mr. Mowiz‏@guysly2much
Spoke with Musa Yahaya agent around 09:40 am, we spoke for 00:12:46,He confirmed deal to Spurs is dead #THFC #COYS http://mowizsoccer.blogspot.nl/2015/11/spurs-to-release-musa-yahaya-in-january.html?m=1…

Not happening. Zero chance he'll get a work permit. And apparently there were problems in the negotiations i see.

Its a shame that this has taken so long to conclude however I guess it has been beneficial for the lad to be training at a higher level and at our great facilities

I floated his name to WindyCoys from the fighting cock pod who said he'd heard that actually he wasn't all that.

I'd heard from a few people that he looked really good in training. Either way can't miss what you don't have

However great Windy is at keeping in touch with youth news, and also some of his tactical analysis (does he do those still?) I do not particularly rate him when it comes to judging a player.

The rumors are swirling, Yahaya is clearly a talented player, you just have to look at his national youth performances to see that. However, there are question marks regarding his character, whatever happens it aint a big deal. If we get him, it wuld be great to have a real talent on our books, if we dont no great loss as we have plenty players coming through in his position, and these signings tend to be a risk (moving country so young, hyped kid etc.)

I heard he wasn't impressive, guy I spoke to compared him to Anton Walkes.
Also, the same guy said it looks unlikely he will sign.
