Does it not thrill and delight the very bones of every Tottenham supporter to see what is happening at the club ?.
We don't have a manager who says "Give me a zillion pounds and I'll win you the Premiership next season"...we neither have a Chairman In Daniel Levy who will allow us to commit financial suicide in both the transfer market and the hard core business investment plans that a new stadium demands.
This is no "instant fix" set up but an infrastructure which is slowly and methodically creating something the likes of which I have not seen since for over 40 years when I was a young man (and had hair...(y))..Poch and Levy are trying to build a dynasty that will survive for generations to come. They are creating an ethos, a culture, a belief that you don't have to 'cherry pick' the best that are out there...you simply have to apply yourself to studying and discovering the next strata of new talent. Then you convince them that your dreams are also theirs....it's a simple ideology but one that takes great skill in conveying properly to the next generation of footballer standing patiently in the wings.
Let us not underestimate the pulling power of Mauricio after the last two years. He represents the youthful side of Premiership managership but also is the shining light as regards the willingness to give such relatively young players an opportunity to establish themselves as contenders for regular places in the first team squad. He has earned not only my admiration but also my respect for holding such values and staying true to them. This is what is now acting as a powerful magnet to the stars of tomorrow and with the astute Mr Levy balancing the books I have no doubt that once we are firmly established at the new stadium there are no limits as to what this club can achieve. I envy all of our younger supporters but I am firmly convinced that even at my age I will still manage to see the dawn of a wonderful new era at this club before it's time to buy a 'giant slipper' and a 'onesie' then retire quietly at 7.00pm to my memory foam mattress and watch video replays of Gilzean and Chivers. :)

Couldn't agree more, I love it that we do it the right way and laugh when I see Maureen and Conte having a moan.

EDIT
Can someone please explain to me how this can possibly be considered as 'SPAM' ????? I really am becoming extremely disillusioned to see such ratings without any explanation or justification. It does nothing to encourage members to post or create threads and neither does it represent a true 'forum' in which views and opinions are openly exchanged and discussed. I would like to see such ratings either detracted or defended.
PostmanNat and gaffers......over to you
Good post mate, fully agree with everything you say, it's a very exciting time to be a spurs fan. I really wouldnt worry about the coule of muppets who spammed this, they're probably kids

Those that put up a 'spam' rating in your thread are the actual 'spammers' cos they are pissing in your thread.

Simple. I had one knob neck give me 4 spam ratings in the space of 2 minutes last week. I bet he nearly got a hard on.

Good to hear.

There is still work to be done though.

I will always look out for St Ignatius alumni.

I've just touched base with a ex classmate from entry year 1967, he lived on the border of Waltham X and the Abbey, Queens Road, I hadn't seen him since the late 1980's when I was still living in Cheshunt.

This is spam btw

We will decide what is spam chosen one.

You're in potato land now though aren't you? He migrated back too?

I was near Seaforth Drive in the Cross when I went to St Igs.

Old enough to remember the abbey with more pubs than rose street per square yard though.

My pal lives in Spain now.

Gawd - in the 1980's I spent a lot of time in the Abbey even though I lived up near Theobald's, the Brit near Holdbrook on Wednesdays, the Sultan, The Angel, The Sun, Jeez I can't remember there wasn't enough days in the week to get in all them boozers, The New Inn, the pub in the market square which did the Sunday morning spread of seafood. Great times and Tottenham times too.

The Temple Bar always served a good pint. Bit rough but nothing compared to The Queens Head in the cross.

Now a KFC.

Literally every time I was in there a fight broke out. Full on fight. Within five mins the loser would come over and make peace and the pub would carry on.

Saw some massive tear ups in there. None more so when the pikeys turned up.
