I have an image of Big Martin Jol driving that truck...putting him arm around the customs officer to smooth things overJust imagine the commotion at customs, "what you got in your truck" and a Dutch driver telling him "it'sh jusht twenty ton of grass"
Someone said to me "if they're growing the pitch at the training ground I'm a Dutchman", he wasn't but perhaps I should have taken more notice.
Don't sell them any seats then if it is a safety concern.edmonton on chelsea first game: Police not keen on Chelsea

Is it just me or does in not look particularly green and vibrant? I mean, I guess when layed next to an astroturf surface it'll never look quite the same colour, and maybe it needs time to take hold in the soil and grow out/be cut?
Any gardeners on here have some insight? I don't have a garden
My thinking is, that if the new turf basically describes the area of the pitch, then it's still quite a distance from the East and West Stands to the edge of it. I understand all the blurb said it would be as close as allowed, but it's quite a way. Mind you I'm in the South which does look closer I guess.
Edit - Actually, looking at it again, the west looks as if it will be the furthest away. I wonder if the East and west will be equidistant or whether that's just perspective/foreshortening?
Have the cameras gone blank??

Ah, I see....'Specsavers!'
A bit weird that our turf arrive now when we were due for opening mid-September
I'm surprised they didn't sell tickets to go and watch it live. It sounds like it would've sold out.
