Was told today that the seat sales would be limited to 5000 because demolition will be starting the day after the Man U game. The whole of the Lane will be on the ground within the week. If true would be incredible, but from a very reliable source on the construction site management.

It was mentioned on the tour on Friday that there will be some use of explosives and letters had gone out to local residents advising them of this. No timescale was given though other than the stadium will be signed over to demolition contractors 12hrs after ceremony.

I would imagine that the demolition and clearing the site of the stadium will be absolutely intense, and carried out as quickly as possible.

I hope they film it properly as I would love to see the progress.

"All Parties Demolition Plan signed-off. Another piece in a complicated jigsaw".

Matilda Collywobs has posted again over at Glory-glory again tonight:

White Hart Lane will be formally handed over to our construction partner at 07:00 on Monday 15th May. There will then be a period of between 48-72hrs wherein various services are terminated and decommissioned. During this period, demolition plant will arrive and assemble and the site will be secured by perimeter hoarding. The demolition itself in principle is phased, with initial focus on the existing North Stand. However, it is recognised that the exact approach may change according to advice received from the demolition contractor.

It is fair to say that next week will be a very emotional day for all and the club is expecting a large turn-out both in and around the stadium. A party atmosphere will be encouraged and hosts and club staff will be on hand to help and assist where necessary. Detailed celebrations are still being finalised however they will extend late into the evening and more precise arrangements will be communicated through usual channels later this week.

Am sure this has been asked and answered before but does anyone know how far the current stadium is from the pitch? I know the new stadium will be 8 meters in most places and 5 at the Kop end but just wondering how this compares with WHL currently?

Never really paid much attention but noticed today how far away from goal the fans are at the Emirates. Could fit a fkin running track in there. Whoever thought that was a good idea lol.
