Ive only made it to halftime watching the last 2 games, think I'll give this one a miss altogether.
Actually might see if we can book somewhere for a 2pm lunch that doesn't have a TV on..I'd say there's a good chance they will, does it soften the blow if you're prepared for it and know it will not be unexpected?
This is exactly what I would play. Make sure Kulu forms a 3 in cm on defence. plays the Ode role.If Lenglet is injured and we still want to play with a 3 at the back there isn't much choice other than to play Sanchez again. Which makes the actions of some fans yesterday all the more bewildering. I'm not sure switching to a back 4 against a good team like Newcastle when we haven't played that way for a few seasons is the way to go. Though I suppose you could say what have we got to lose. I'd like to see us go to a 4231 of:
LlorisThough I don't like the look of those fullbacks and it wouldn't take much for the fans to turn on Porro judging by yesterday's reaction. So playing him in a 4 may be hanging him out to dry. But hopefully playing a defensive 2 man midfield in front of him will offer a bit of protection.
Porro Romero Dier Perisic
Skipp Hojbjerg
Danjuma Kulusevski Son
Kane
I know it feels like we can't get much worse than recent games but with this back four I think it could get much worse. I'd swap Lenglet, PEH and Deki for Tanganga, Sarr and Danjuma. There's nothing to lose with going with a back 4. Skipp can drop into the gaps when they open up(because they definitely will)
