Never enjoy 12:30 kick off. All teams seem to struggle with this time. Nothing happens in the first half.

Think the midfield will be Biss, Bents and Maddison.

Bentancur is more an 8 than 6 I think.

Newcastle vs. West Ham first half a couple of weeks ago was pretty eventful, and that was against an incredibly defensive team.

Last time I went up to St James Park there was a big Geordie bouncer managing the lift up to the high levels in the away end, now anyone who's been knows that they stick us up in the gods and so after a 3-4hr train and a few beers me and my mate thought lets get the lift... well no this 'geordie bouncer' had other ideas and in his thick Geordie accent told us "I'M NOT ASKIN YA...I'M TELLIN YA... USE THE STAIRRRSSS" meanwhile letting some pretty Georgie lasses under his bulging biceps and straight into the lift :ROFLMAO: we then proceeded to climb the stairs to our seats and spotted Ledley King a few rows ahead of us so lots of King songs and a bit of chat, lovely bloke and then we proceeded to lose 5-1 to 10 man Newcastle (y) safe to say that was a long journey home and I've not been back since.

Lets hope tomorrow is more fruitful.

It’s time the away support at Newcastle were moved to near pitchside which is where they are supposed to be. The rule has been in place for best part of 10 yrs and they are the only club who don’t do it. At the time of the ruling they said it was a security problem.
That such a luminary as Henry Winter of the Times has taken up the cudgel on Talksport last week might get something moving.

About time the away fans were at pitchside as the rules state. As from 2016 a section of the away fans should be at pitchside . Further statement to that effect by prem lge in June 2022. Still we wait.
Henry Winter was having a dig last week on the radio.

That is a shame. Attacking options look so good when he or one of the current three are available from the bench, as well as Kulusevski. At least we have game changing options from midfield on the bench.

I'm happy with Son as our number 9 against Newcastle. The game won't be a 'low block' like we've had so many of recently. And he's better suited as the 9 against teams that don't play that 'low block'.

I think it might be to an extent. Howe’s a good manager and will know what works against us, plus he has a depleted defence which will be pretty slow if Livramento is out. Would love it if they came out swinging but I’m not sure they will.

A point would be decent. All three and I might start to believe.

Not sure who will play in the midfield for them besides Longstaff and Bruno. I think we'll dominate the midfield battle and win pretty comfortably. Not sure how they will get it up to the dangerous front 3-4 players. Guess we are always a good bet to concede from a corner

Be Anderson I guess . Unless they drop Murphy in there to accommodate Barnes .

it’s crazy how many injuries they have and have had this season .

We won't have a better chance of going there and getting a win . I know there front 3 are still pretty decent, but there back line will have next to no pace .

If we can get Werner and Johnson in behind them I can see us creating plenty of chances . Similar to the Villa game

Just to take this mildly off topic for one moment, Henry WInter tweeted yesterday that he's been made redundant from The Times. Shame.

I can't wait until we do learn to tighten up a bit. Our ability to concede poor/easy goals is the only thing if anything at all that worries me really.

Van De Ven plays, so theyll be no repeat of Fulham away.

We've only lost two all season with Micky starting....

One was Chlesea where he limped off at HT, so can barely count that.

Confident.
