Anyway two things to sign off with…

1. I hadn’t planned on drinking until my friends funeral in 4 weeks time. Sorry Mike, as a fellow Yid in heaven, you’ll give me a pass
2. The Villa game tomorrow has me kind of torn.
Enjoy the weekend folks.

How do we look so lethargic when we have a pretty much fully fit squad and we’ve only had one competition to focus on for the vast majority of the season? God help us next year when we’re in Europe. You can forgive mistakes but we were completely outfought by a team with numerous first team players out.

And how can a professional team that trains every day still be so surprised by defending a corner? Absolutely clueless. Two weeks to stew on this shit now

Well, I see your point, but for me "found out" means being exposed or exploited.

We know how Pep's teams play, but they haven't been found out.

Personally I have no idea whether we've been found d out or whether we just need more time and some better players.

This is it exactly. More time, few better players and i think we will get to where we want to be. Results like todays are just super frustrating though.

Would have much preferred to have had this form at the start of the season and had the first ten game form now. Would have felt much more like we were building to something.

Gordon saying they changed their tactics (which was obvious). Why are we unable to do the same when we aren’t competing?

irrespective of who the manager is, we just seem to be lacking any mental strength and ruthlessness. It’s just rinse and repeat season in season out

Absolutely no press resistance offered by any of the players who are supposed to be good at it and once the team got rattled they all folded like wet cardboard. Really poor showing in leadership on and off the pitch today, feel like Ange gave up on them after that 3rd goal and the subs weren't enough to generate any kind of real difference.

We had a striker, he had awful service. Isak looked amazing.... But look at the service he got.
Awful service? I've seen barn doors better at trapping balls than Son today. He was nowhere near being where he needed to be positionally off the ball and every possible ball got stuck under his feet. The fact that he as our only true goalscorer, and captain to boot, got hooked at 60 minutes says everything.

One of, if not the, worst performance I can ever remember from him. He was poor last week too and has been more often than not since coming back after the Asian championship.

Start of the season we were pressing aggressively and forcing turnovers the whole time. That's exactly what Newcastle have done to us today. We've become more and more passive as the season's progressed, and now we offer next to nothing.
100% this, we look a completely different team. The identity we had for the first 1/3 of the season has completely disappeared.

If we take the option on Werner it'll tell us that the decision makers at Spurs don't have the killer instinct to take this club away from Spursiness. He's not the only one to blame for today, but he's not good enough and won't be. That was utter horseshit from the manager and everyone involved. Villa climbed a spot without playing!

It's amazing we've got the goals-for total we have this season because game after game all we're doing is fucking around with sideways standing football and not endangering their keeper. Dubravka with the easiest 90 mins in years today.

The NLD is going to be a fucking circus if this clown show reappears.

This is what a lot of people forget.

Arteta was given time as he won an FA Cup in his first season by beating City/Chelsea.
They do it for Klopp as well.

Ignoring the fact he finished 4th and made it to two finals (Europa and league cup)

Well one would think it would when he tries to affect the game. A change of tactic, a toe up the hole or something.
They said in commentary that Ange was on the sideline going nuts at one stage, he's just not jumping about waving his arms like a coked up jack in the box

But what is realy worrying is that at the start of the season when we still played insane high line, our midfield and attackers were pressing like dogs.

YOU MUST have this press when playing hiigh line, now that the honeymoon period is over we have stopped having a heartrate over 145 bpm. And it looks like Amge does not care about that.

We look worse defending now than with Dier and Tanganga ffs, and it is not down to the quality of the defenders it is the horrible defending structure.
