16/17 season still leaves me so bittersweet. That would have won the EPL 11 times in other seasons. Timing is everything I suppose
Imagine what Liverpool feel like..

I have already nailed my colours to the mask, which is i want Poch to turn it around starting Saturday. But I really cannot believe overall that Daniel Levy is getting such an easy ride. Poch obviously has his flaws, and majority have aired them on here. But Daniel Levy and Joe Lewis are the main culprits behind what you are seeing now.
getting another manager will not change anything imho. They would simply go for a glove-puppet.
I think part of the lack of criticism stems from not knowing exactly who is responsible for our failures in the transfer market in recent years. Our recruitment was awful for years leading up to the summer of 2018, to the extent that it is understandable why Poch would have put his foot down and demanded he not be given any more Njies, Nkoudous, Auriers etc. to work with.I have already nailed my colours to the mask, which is i want Poch to turn it around starting Saturday. Very good, balanced, and considered postI think part of the lack of criticism stems from not knowing exactly who is responsible for our failures in the transfer market in recent years. So on the one hand you have years' worth of second-rate bargain bin punts that didn't work out (seems like a Levy problem), and on the other you have Poch's seeming stubbornness paralyzing us from bringing in new players at a crucial moment. It's all a huge mess and impossible to sort out who is responsible for what from the outside.
When the results start to suffer it's easy to blame Poch, thinking "Oh, he turned his nose up at the likes of Tielemans, Olmo and Berge, look where it's gotten us" without stopping to think about Levy's role in why he came to a point where he was so stubborn. There's definitely blame to be shared by both sides and emotion and lack of information make it easy to lash out at the manager, who's the face of the team.
If we don’t get top 4 the summer could be very ugly. I think we’d be better off getting a manager now as it’s going to be hard to attract big names without any European football let alone no champions league.

I get what your saying here herc but have you seen our performances lately ? I’d be worried if a new manager couldn’t change them ! You can’t tell me another manager even with restrictions would be getting 25 points from 75 and no away win in 9 monthsI have already nailed my colours to the mask, which is i want Poch to turn it around starting Saturday. It's been said before and will be said again. If you're successful on the pitch, everything else just falls into place. Why enic and baldy don't get this is beyond me, especially as the relative austerity we've enjoyed the past few seasons have largely been off the back of on the pitch results. In my heart of hearts i know levy's done wonders here but it's always been done with an eye on the financials as opposed to the pitch. Hence if we ever do win anything again, unless the business model changes it'll be via another bale-like superstar or just by blind luck, not by risking anything to go that extra step. Getting yet another glove puppet is pointless, may as well stick with poch if we're not aiming for a winner (they're always abrasive, that's what makes them winners) manager.
If i was lewis, fuk me, i'd be putting everything into making this team a world beater.
We've made it to 5 cup finals under the ENIC reign and qualified for Europe 14 out of 15 seasons. There was a large contingent of people that looked at our staring XI when it was peak Poch years who said it was extremely difficult to attract talent that would have made us better back then so at what point does the buck stop with those XI out on the pitch for those final games we have lost?
How we line up on Saturday will be telling. If Poch goes back to playing players who are doing poorly, and sticking with an ineffective formation, then I guess he's essentially singing: 'I did it my way'.
