I really want him and I dont care what anyone thinks
Tbh I’m with you as well. I really like Paqueta who has been my top pick all summer and would really like to see him in our team. But there is just this point about 1 what Conte could do with Zaniolo and 2 how he already looks physically sharper then he did all last season. That combined with his age just makes him a very exciting prospect.

Of course now that Im completely onboard the Zaniolo express we will probably not get him.

Some small updates from Italian media today:

La Repubblica also reporting today that Mourinho is blocking any deal & further negotiations. Could be the impasse.

Romeo Agresti (tier 1 for Juve) saying Juve could consider going back in with a cash offer after proposing player + cash earlier in the window. More of a "Let's see what happens"

Hoping we move on if nothing progresses this week.

Out of my depth here, not ever having played FF or FM but judging by the performance levels of Kulu and Rodders (both who I'd never heard of) since January my message to Levy and Patric is "if Antonio wants then Antonio gets."

I dont think Mourinho has any say...if the asking price is met. Roma are coming to the negotiations because , Zaniolo at a price is ok to sell for them. I think the impasse is the price set not the sale itself. As per reports, Roma wants cash 50m Eur. We have been offering less than that or been offering player + cash which is far less than 50m.

Roma after a long time have a good chance to go for Schudetto with Juve, Inter being weaker and Milan being the only major contender. I dont think we can negotiate this lesser.Either we have to now decide to pay up or go elsewhere.

Mourinho believes Roma have a great chance of winning the league so perhaps is seriously reluctant to lose him.

I think it was pretty obvious the deal was off looking at his playing time, involvement and conduct with Roma’s game last night.
Didn’t at all look like a man leaving anytime soon.

Hopefully we move onto the next target quickly.
Now I would see that as a sign of a true pro. As long as he’s under contract, he plays/keeps a good attitude until he’s signed a contract with another club.
That’s the type of player I would want at my club.
I could be wrong but just my positive view of him.

Easy to say to just move on to two completely different players with completely different playing styles, but the reality is Conte wants a powerful driving WF not a ball playing #10.
I reckon we’d be more likely to move onto Depay than the others.

Just curious, and not knocking your opinion, but why do you think that? He has awful work rate without the ball, likes to take his time when in possession and plays predominantly on the LW which we already have covered with Son and Richy. Even if one could accept the second two points he’s like the antithesis of a Conte player when it comes to putting in the hard work. Far too much of a luxury player. He does have great technique and can be fun to watch for sure but I just don’t see how he would suit us whatsoever.

I’m not a big fan but we’ve been linked with ITK and he fits the brief closer than the other two.
