Pellegrini is like their Kane though
Yeah you are right about that. I just think paying out for a player who’s done both ACLs is simply unwise. Talented player no doubt but I’m antsy about it. Money could go towards Maddison or Olise who have similar profiles.

He’s 2 years older, and was booted out of Milan 2 years ago a flop.

I take your point on him currently being further along, though. Both risky moves for me, certainly, but I like the idea of fobbing off Ndombele, if only temporarily. Lyon have already had a look, and said no thanks.
I’m sure that plays into this equation on some level, too.
Technically Paqueta is currently 24 and Zaniolo is 23 but yes your right his birthday is in August.

I see so many people referring to his time at Milan, his first in Europe, as reason to question his ability without actually taking into consideration how He was massively mismanaged. Not aimed at you, but this is the problem when people look at stats, YouTube vids etc without actually following a club and the tactical nuances of game by game. For me his skill set is well matched to the PL and I could see him doing very well here in Conte’s system and a better fit for us then Zaniolo.

It is true that getting rid of Ndombele as part of the Zaniolo deal would be extremely enticing, I just can’t see it being anything more then a loan and I can complete see him being back next summer. But I guess something is better then nothing. If we could do a perm that would be incredible tho.

Forgive me if I'm wrong but isn't paqueta very patchy? Supposedly he was quite hit and miss last season and basically downed tools when Guimares left. That might be completely wrong but I remeber hearing that on a podcast somewhere.

Conte likes Physically Ready player for PL, right (aka not a Byran Gil). Zaniolo is so strong with his strength.
Interestingly some Roma fans also suggest he should play more centrally, CAM or even CM

Pellegrini and Tammy did just fine this year under Jose’s awful anti football. Moura and Bergwijn, auxillary wing forwards, are in fact no better under Conte than Mou so is that really a comparison you want to make?
Moura's output have basically doubled under Conte than he had under Mourinho, the same with Bergwijn. So this is really good comparison to make. Pellegrini and Tammy also had better stats in previous seasons.

WhatsApp chats innit
Oh yeah of course. Like I said the other day a lot of the time when they are quoting "their sources" they mean each other. Nothing wrong with that, but a lot seem to think when lots of them start posting it on twitter it means it's more credible. The majority of them will have legitimate links to various clubs, but when they look like they have sources about everything that's going on everywhere they don't.

Thing that worries me about this, is that its not often that Italians do well in the prem. I know there is a few exceptions to the rule but I'd be wary of this one.
I think there are quite a few exceptions! Zola, Di Matteo, Jorginho, Vialli, Ravanelli, Di Canio, Cudicini, Balotelli. I think overall there haven't been that many Italians who have wanted to play outside of Italy and in the prem, but that's not to say that the ones who did come here did a bad job.

You were all going SMS after a recent ITK post.

I said at the time it could well be Zaniolo, plays multiple positions, we still hold an interest in Italy.

I don't want to be feckin right. No-one likes a smart arse, but I no likey Zaniolo.
I think three people reacted to me saying lorem ipsum was Zaniolo. I thought “Latin text” was a more elegant cryptic as well, but it didn’t seem likely.

Not like we’ve had an injury-prone player from Roma before
And there are very obvious comparisons. The dribbling and not always making the right decisions, the pressing and work rate, the shithousery and the injuries. I actually think Conte would have liked Lamela but he was gone before Conte got here. He had some pretty big flaws to his game particularly with decision making and Zaniolo is similar but in a Conte system you don't really have to over think things because he has laid out in detail exactly what you have to do in every scenario. Taking that thinking process out of players minds has improved quite a few of our players and probably could have got the best out of Coco. This is how Conte works, finds the traits he really likes in a player, builds up their strengths and then negate their weaknesses through structure and routine.

I’d just like to say that if I ever get shelved by the wife, I’m 100% going to be on this message board so I can hookup with all the Physio, Accountant and Body Language Specialists.

I don’t know how you all have time for all three careers as well as your actual jobs.

The single ones amongst you must be literally drowning in [vag][peen][both].
