Surely he's not going anywhere any time soon
Like most European teams, if there is money on the table they will take it. Roma really aren’t flush and would sell pretty much anyone. The question is obviously if anyone will match their valuation which by all accounts is €50 mil.

I think they would do a loan with obligation, it’s very common in Italy even for star players. But the issue for us I’m sure is trying to protect ourselves over injury concerns. Can’t be a easy deal. But if we, Juve or whoever agree to their requested fee I’m sure he will go. Doesn’t mean they want to sell him, but every Roma player has a price.

If Trix still has doubts and reports that as far as he knows, we're still some distance from agreement on the fee, then I'd say ignore those fake ITKs that plague twitter and are saying it's almost done.

I've noticed that pretty much all of them pop up on twitter within an hour of trix, herc, WLB posting something here and just repeat it using different words

Can definitely see this being 50/50. Can see Roma keeping him, he's their Italian crown jewel after all. Nothing to do with Jose imo.

If I had to make a prediction we'll either be in "here we go soon" territory by the end of this week or we'll move on.

Agreed.

Trix, Herc mainly are my go to.

Also WLB seems to be like Hercs younger brother, doesn't always make sense be we love him anyways ??

Despite my obvious aversion to this transfer, I could talk myself into liking him, IF we got it done quickly.

Richy is great but he is a finisher, not a creator; a 'Carlos Vinicius/Llorente' replacement who can also play winger.

What we now need is a Bergwijn/Bale replacement. The key is that we get a quality player, above all else.

So I hope either a) Roma tell us to fuck off and Zaniolo signs a new deal next week or b) we shift Lo Celso+Winks and just pay the fee next week, lock him up before Mou changes his mind or raises the price.

I wish we would move onto other choices but at this point those chances seem very slim. They clearly only have eyes for Nico. Handsome lad I will admit.

What CANNOT happen is allowing this to drag on til August 31st, not moving on to other targets, make it a whole saga, then lose out on him or are forced to pay a desperation fee on deadline day.

I don't know if this guy is mustard or another expensive mistake waiting to happen, but I must admit - I want it to happen just because I want to see what Conte does/can do with him.

His highlights from Yesterday's friendly against Shaktar. Looked pretty quick considering his surgeries.

He was quality here, credit where credit is due. Of course, the issues with the final ball are prominent here as well, but let’s not comment on that.

Commentators were saying he’s lost 5kg since last year when he was too muscular and bulky, that’s a positive sign.

Don't really have a problem with him starting for Roma, he is still their player after all. Points to the deal not being as close as we may have thought but by no means do I think this deal is dead!

Have to say he looks really happy in Roma based off the highlights from the match yesterday, doesn't seem like a player who wants to move!

Looks a dangerous runner - good on the counter. Final ball needs work.

He played with his head up too on that (minimal) evidence.

If we can get him great. Looks a talent. If we can’t, I don’t think it’s the end of the world.

I figured we’d be done post Spence. Anything from then, including Udogie and this guy, is upside.

well per D1's update seems that Conte wants 3 more so let's see if we can get rid of those deadwoods
