Maybe they mean that Dynamo are willing to go as high as £10m for the pair. Not sure we'd get that anywhere else honestly.

Kranjcar hints at Eastern move
Croatian keen on move to Ukraine or Russia
Ukrainian club Kiev are thought to be targeting the Croatia international's signature and 27-year-old Kranjcar admits a move to Eastern Europe would be an attractive prospect.

"Yes, why not?" he told Index. "But conditions would have to be good.

"I'm a realist. In Russia or Ukraine you can play good football and earn a lot of money.

"Whether you agree with me or not, it's important how much you earn in your career."

Changed
Kranjcar, who joined Spurs from Portsmouth in 2009, feels football in Eastern Europe is improving and pointed out he could still play European football at a Russian or Ukrainian club.

"Times have changed, the East is becoming better and better," he added.

"It's not like 10 years ago. Clubs from Ukraine and Russia regularly play in the Champions League and Europa League."

See you later then. Better go an pick up wages there than not be good enough but still pick up your wages here.

I like him, but he can't stay fit or keep off the pounds (could they be linked?), so it's probably wise to shift him off the wage bill.
Same with Charlie, barring the weight issues.

So, mods. What`s the point of putting up "itk" about Kranjcar leaving when it's all over the net? It's not itk then, is it?!

Whats to say it isn't ITK, there have lots of cases if the internet saying a player is leaving and he clearly doesn't

I'd take £10 million for the pair, but I daresay little Danny wouldn't. I imagine he'd value Kranjcar at around £7 million and being as we paid £8.5m for Corluka, he'd be looking at upwards of £6m for him. This'll drag on, inevitably.

TBH, Id rather it dragged on a bit and we got £14 M for the pair, than that we just accepted £10 M now...we are in such a fantastic position, relatively, because little Danny pays attention to these minor adjustments.

Well yes, me too. And I do appreciate Levy's financial brilliance. However, that assumes that someone wants to pay the £14 million. It can go the other way, as evidenced by the fact we've been paying Bentley, Jenas, Dos Santos, Gomes and Bassong's wages for the past year because we wanted too much for them in the last two windows.

Yeah...I do realise they is a certain fear that we won't get rid of some of these players before their contract runs down.
On the other hand, if we take DGDS, Sevilla offering a third of Udinese's offer, and him refusing to go anywhere but Spain is taking the piss, really. It's just my opinion, but that is passing well beyond the stage where players are having too much power. And I don;t accept arguments based on ordinary employment procedures. Team building would be virtually impossible if that were the case, and these players are paid an absolute fortune precisely because they are not just like you or me. Sorry to go off on a tangent /rant :)
