Scrappy old fashioned sort of game. Kulu fantastic needs to keep the mask. More passion undoubtedly means more reds and yellows.
With a better squad we’ll learn to manage it. Yeah scant artsy stuff tonight 3 points

Fantastic result! And dug in well for the final 25.
Kulu obviously good, but I thought Davies was outstanding. Awful from Biss though, especially right now. And with Udogie suspended also, the fucking discipline has to get better.

Great 3pts....COYS

That was far and away our worst performance of the year.

I think Forrest has shown the way on how to beat us.

Kick the living daylights out of us until the ref reacts and actually does something because they won't. Refs are too scared now to make a decision or give two yellow cards and will just let matches go completely unregulated for stretches to get themselves over the line.

In other news, Kulu since getting the mask has been insane. Long may it continue, onto Everton, going to be a super tricky match.

Mate, we won.

That was a battle. Quality showed against a side that wanted to scrap and kick and break up play. Certainly wasn't pretty and a poor refereeing display didn't help (I don't think the law makers help refs at all)

Clean sheet was welcome too

Deki outstanding and Davies had a great game.
It's the other way around for me. Davies was outstanding and Deki had a great game. Davies should have been MOTM.

Part of the composure issue is surely down to the fact that the ref had picked that no-mark Yates as his third official for the day and we got no protection from snidey challenges.

We were fortunate Forrest were awful as it was a pretty lackluster performance on our end with the moment of absolute madness by Bissouma. Discipline is becoming a problem for a few who continually keep making some really poor decisions that harm the team.
If they’d had a goal scorer no way we leave with 3 points. We were lucky they couldn’t hit a barn door.
Bissouma is a fucking idiot. Maybe Conte saw a lack of maturity and mentality in him. He been doing stupid shit all season discipline wise.

Very pleasing to see a mature performance especially when down to 10.

Yet again Ben Davies played a ripper of a game and showed a lot of composure alongside Romero: developing into an unlikely partnership at the back.

Richie getting his confidence back and noticeable since his injury that he is tracking back successfully as well. A nice switcheroo with Sonny in the build up to Deki’s goal: showed so much quality tonight, getting his form back when we need it as well.

Not going to hate on Biss: a player of his quality can draw it back in.

Good momentum again like the start of this season. Just like I thought after the Newcastle game: a busy month and a lot of teams will knacker with the relentless attacking play.

Don't think it was that great of a showing on the whole. Some good individual performances, Kulu, Davies, Vic, Romero, etc but I think we were a bit panicky at times and I think sometimes we try and play too quickly and it costs, because there's no composure. Good result though and we move on to the next one.
Given the limited options in the squad it's a decent enough performance and a great result. We're going to be so much better when Ange gets a larger squad suited to his style.

Thing is there's kicking players and then there's knee high studs up idiocy.

In fairness to Udogie, thought that yellow was super soft. Running side to side with a player and giving them a nudge has never been a straight away yellow? Especially when he hadn’t accumulated fouls prior to that. Furthermore, the opposing player was waving his hand asking for the card which was supposed to be a point of emphasis and automatic yellow this season. Ref was as weak as they come.

Bissouma went full Paul Scholes for some reason, but he doesn't have the right eyes to get away with that madness. No idea what he was doing. Muscle spasm?!

Just looking at the league table I see only Man City and Pool have scored more than us. Kind of puts the we need a striker argument to bed perhaps?

Agreed. Hopefully Richy is starting to find his feet a little but the way we play means that the goals are shared much more.
