Also at least half a dozen fouls that weren’t called on them that should have been imo. Also felt like they were allowed to go through the back of our players or follow through after the tackle if they got some of the ball, which hasn’t been consistent with with previous games we’ve been penalised in. We’ve had some very dodgy refereeing this season.
Nakamba in our game at Luton. Again made about 10 fouls and was not carded.
The inconsistency is what is so annoying.

Early on gibbs-white knocked the ball away when vicario was going to take a quick free kick and right under the refs eyes.
I knew then we would be on the receiving end of refs decisions.
As for Yates not getting a card, amazing he did not get a yellow for an accumulation of fouls in the first 30 mins.

Yep MGW should have been booked for kicking the ball away and Yates for blatantly asking for a yellow to Udogie (which he got). Neither got booked.

I have no issues with the sending off. I do, however, have an issue with the consistency in matches with regards to what is and isn't bookings.

Any idea why they took so long for the offside var review? It was so weird looking at 3 players well offside and waiting for slow motion and lines to be drawn. So embarrassing for our game that.

I think they were looking to see if the ball had come off the Spurs defender leg as the cross was put in - although how they could have called that "deliberately playing the ball" is beyond me.

The standard of refereeing and VAR is quite depressing. The ref was so inconsistent. For example, ignoring the deliberate elbow to the face by a Forest player but cautioning Udogie for an innocuous challenge. Murillo was also fortunate not to have received a second yellow.

Another problem is the way referees wave yellow cards around as if they're going out of fashion. I swear that the standard of refereeing has gone down this season. It was not good enough under Mike Riley's reign, but now with Howard (I simply love publicity) Webb it has deteriorated even further.

Well that was a lot harder than it should have been. A rather disappointing performance, except maybe after we went down to 10 men. I thought that after a bright start we allowed Forest to bully us and we lost all our rhythm.

Which brings me to the referee who was abysmal. Did he think he was officiating an Australian Rules game? How did Yates not get a yellow card, if only for twice asking for a yellow card for one of our players. We got hacked all over place yet we ended up with 4 yellows and a(deserved) red. I believe Son got a yellow for being dragged down by Yates(who else) in the penalty area at a corner kick.
Three points but once again at a huge cost ; Johnson off with concussion , Udoggie out for the next game and Bissouma out for 4 games - an insane needless dangerous tackle.
That’s 4 red cards and 46 yellows this season. Indiscipline is costing us and needs to reined in.
Personally when Johnson went off I’d have brought on Emerson and put Porro at RW. As it was Skipp played well especially when we went down to 10 men.
Bissouma really needs to get his brain cell working and control himself. He is turning out to be a liability especially when he knows we are down to the bare bones in midfield.

Thought the Ref last night was atrocious. Davies elbowed in the face, Son rugby tackled in the penalty area, Udogie gets booked for breathing on one of their players. Yates kicking lumps out of everyone and should have seen at least 2 yellows, and yet Bissouma makes a bad tackle and it's immediately under the microscope. Did they even look at the Davies elbow incident?

I know we scored in injury time, but how was there only 4 minutes added on? Johnson was down for over 4 minutes and they spent another few minutes drying the ball before a throw-in. Ridiculous :ROFLMAO:

It's a tough call. Ange is clearly determined that we shouldn't lose intensity in matches when we're leading, and the downside of this is that players like Bissouma feel the need to continue to compete for absolutely everything. (The point that winds me up is that none of the red cards we've conceded this year has led to the opposition player having to leave the field injured. On the other side, we've recently had signiifcant injuries inflicted to Bentancur, Kulusevski, and Johnson where none of the assailants has been deemed to have used excessive force.)

You can tell it's the panto season. Romero has already been appointed as this year's pantomine villlain.
He will be the villain until he leaves, the media have made their minds up. The “ooooooooohh” last night for a basic foul was ridiculous from Neville

Ryan Yates

This twat fouled us 4 times, plus won a free-kick when he scissored Skipp’s legs.

He waved 2 imaginary yellow cards directly at the referee.

Was he booked? Of course he wasn’t.

Udogie received a yellow for a shoulder barge.

Jarred Gillett, you’re fucking shite.

Another thing that Kane was good at was getting in the refs ear. Not sure if that’s the difference this season or there’s something else going on but the inconsistencies with fouls and yellows in our games don’t look right.

It appears to me to have increased since the dippers game and their 2 red cards and offside goal.

A dangerous tackle is one that could, or does injure an opponent, so how comes Bentancur gets put out for a couple of months from a cynical, late tackle that's nowhere near the ball but it's not a red, and yet tackles that could potentially injure an opponent get tougher treatment? If the question is to do with intent, the only thing Cash was doing was trying to chop Bentancur down, regardless of the consequences. Still really pissed off about that one.

Especially following the way Cash ended Doherty's season with another really bad tackle.

He also pushed murillo away and then grabbed the ref and pulled him away when he was debating whether murillo 2nd yellow card challenge was worthy of a second yellow card
