It just doesn’t look like it’s going to work out for him here.

I find if a player hasn’t made it at a club after 3 seasons, they rarely will.

He has the ability to make it in the Prem, this could be a good move for both parties.

Cooper has played 5 at the back in recent times so would be sessegnons best position

There’s a player in there, desperately needs a club where he will play every week and a manger to put an arm around him.

We might get a decent fee for him from Forest, they’re not short of a bob or two and like to spend. He’s got a high ceiling and English, could be £20-£25m?

I’d bite their hand off for 10-15m tbh

Saw a lot of him at Fulham and felt he'd really turn into a top player with us, but that initial hamstring injury he sustained with the England Under 21's after he joined has basically ruined him. I honestly don't think it's a case of him not having the talent, pretty sure he scored something like 15 goals for Fulham one season (albeit in a more advanced role, but he was also a teenager then). 25 goals and 18 assists at Fulham in a fraction over twice as many games as at Spurs, whereas for us a paltry 3 goals and 4 assists.

I get the feeling that in the next 12-18months it's make or break for his whole career in terms of the hamstring injury forcing him into contemplating retirement , it's hindered him that much. Fingers crossed for him , i suppose for Spurs sake you could well suggest selling him and letting him be someone else's problem makes financial sense but first and foremost i just hope he gets to play football consistently again, always seemed a good intelligent kid.

It's never been a question of ability. I think with Sessegnon it's always been his self-confidence. He's a physical specimen, he's tall fast, strong, quick feet, knows how to attack the box, absolutely everything you'd want in a wingback. But he always seems to play within himself. I feel like he needs some of that Danny Rose anger in him so he can tear a new one for the opposite number and breaks out of that cocoon he's in and we see the real Ryan Sessegnon.

Given the numbers we have Reguilon, Udogie, Davies I think our best option is to let him go and put in sell on clauses so we can benefit from any improvement he makes

Yep, his lack of self confidence has held him back.

Maybe the reoccurring injuries have made him play more and more within himself.

Seems a nice lad, needs to move on, Forest could be ideal for him.

Every time he's started to look like he's getting a bit of confidence since arriving he gets injured, which I can imagine would be both incredibly frustrating and discouraging.

With there being a +1 year option in his contract it might be worth exercising that and then sending him out on loan rather than selling him & Forest love a loan deal.

This is why now is the time to sell, it’s a reset and unfortunately it just hasn’t worked for him

We need to sell we have to many players on loan that we can't sell we need to shift a few and he's a start. Anyway he needs a fresh start it's not happening for him here.

I get the idea that now is probably the best time to cut ties with Sess but personally I'd still want to see how Udogie manages in a back 4 before i pushed Sess out the door. It's not inconceivable that Udogie isn't quite up to it initially and if we let Sess go we'd be left with Reggie (injury record worse than Sess recently and not as good either imo) or Davies, another player people want out but who'll probably end up being our starting LB in the first few games.

He is definitely not tall and I don’t think particularly fast. Had high hopes but has not worked out like many have said, hasn’t had the fitness or drive to really make an impact.
