If the Al Qaeda naming rights deal is anything to go by, the revenue seems a bit of a lean side.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Emirates_Stadium#Name

The total deal is £100m with stadium naming rights for 15 years, and shirt rights for 8 years. Going by the stadium alone, the revenue is £6.6m a year, with 8 years free shirt sponsorship. Or collectively £100m / (15 + 8) = £4.3m a year. For a club like ours, seems a bit low to me.

I'm sure Levy could wrangle us a better deal than that.

Oh no , that's horrid. In these times when so much of this countries history and culture is swept aside , this is just sad.

We need to hold onto history , how are you supposed to have pride in something named after a coporate fat-cat company ? Bad enough having "Mansion" in letters/logo large enough you can see from space!

Ut oh - TV rights and all, are we going towards 'The Virgin Stadium'?

It all depends on which consortium buys us. I would imagine that it will be a Middle-East company, possibly petroleum operated, or a multi-facete company such as Virgin.

What's the price? what if every spurssupporter around the globe got together and startet a company called, let's say.. "White Hart Lane", and collected enough money and financed the stadium? yes? no?

With Chinese and Indian economies on the rise we could be looking at investment from Asia.

Maybe summat like "Hutchison Whampoa" who owned Rabbit/Orange/3G and many other companies..

Or The Indian motor company "TATA"

Both quaint names.

Guys, yes it'll be given a new name but it'll still be 'The Lane' in my eyes. Just because some corporate soul sucker will give it some awful name we can, and will still refer to it as WHL - if anything we are moving nearer to the road named 'white hart lane'.

Cheer up lads, there's no way i'm gonna call it the Budweiser Bowl.

Hows about DHL being the corp sponsor ?

Then the name would be WHL-DHL (or DHL-WHL)

It can never be anything other than White Hart Lane as far as I'm concerned, no matter what sponsorship deal or financing there is. If we continue to call it that and ignore any new name, we can make sure we don't lose this important slice of Spurs history.

We may need a properly organised protest later on.

We the fans should sponsor the stadium name if such a thing is possible and retain its name White Hart Lane.
