Deserved in my opinion. It emulates a little the MVP thing they do in the States. It has been all up hill since this:

Agreed, West ham would have been relegated weeks ago without Parker. It's well deserved.

That advert is poor btw  could of sworn the ball hit his hand on the rainbow flick! Even without that, even I can easily do those skills and I'm pretty sure I could at 14/15...

Scott Parker winning player of the year is like giving out medals to the slow kids at school cos 'they tried their bestest'.

He stands out as a player that actually gives a shit in one of the most spineless teams in the League. If West Ham had a few players that bothered to play every now and again they'd be in mid table and no one would be even mentioning Parker in the player of the season awards.

Ridiculous comments.

Parker would have strengthened us, no doubts about that at all. He has single handedly carried that team this year, and I believe we would be in a much better position with someone like him in the middle of the field.

My opinion of him has largely improved this season, he has been superb for them and they'd be down without him. I'd still be very wary of his (probable) transfer to Spurs though because he's often injured and at this stage of his career it will catch up with him sooner than later, while I'd also be loathed to see anything happen to slow th development of Sandro who I'm very excited about. However, this guy is a far better player than many here, myself included, have credited him to be.

He's been excellent this season, glad he's got the nod.
I don't think his transfer to us is a certainty.
I can actually see Man Utd picking him up; they're short of that type of player & he might suit them for a few years. If West Ham go down you can see him going for about £5m just to get rid of his £75kpw wages.

I think he's a quality player and a leader & I've always been keen on signing hin. However probably not now, given Sandro's exceptional emergence in the 2nd half of this season.

Half of fleet street supports West ham. This is no shock.

West Ham's player of the year yes but player of the year is insane.
Let alone the players at our club I'm sure Arsenal could say Nasri and others City Tevez the list goes on.
I'm not sure he would improve us it would just mean more juggling with Modric VDV Bale and less chance for Sandro.
He failed at Chelsea and at Toon when they were a CL club if he's the first name on the team sheet it's a different story and he wouldn't be that for us.
