Paulo Dybala has trained with Juventus today in Turin with the player understanding a potential move to Tottenham Hotspur is now over. [Calciomercato] #THFC

So he never even flew over, such a weird deal. Doesn't add up.

Maybe he couldn't board the plane because his passport doesn't have a picture. Because of the image rights.

that's enough Dybala for me, I'm off to watch Gordon Ramsay shout at people who think they can cook.

Oh well, that's me done for a while. I'm going to put in some actual work for an hour now, and hope that something happens in the meantime.

Never thought spending 130m in one window could feel so bad...

And it doesn't.....time to get over it, get behind our wonderful squad and go again..coys!

As good as the other signings are, Dybala would have just been the cherry on top, the signing that got everyone looking at us in a much different way. Definitely a shame to have not pulled this off.

Was equivocal on this one. Couldn’t shake off the feeling that he has a lot of distractions going on off the field which may have contributed to his dip in form. Dele-like.

Happy with the guys we’ve signed. They all seem focussed and a good fit with the Poch ethos. Shame about BF - he looks another good ‘un.

Good additions, but ultimately not enough considering we’re losing Eriksen and we haven’t strengthened in a very long time.
Rome wasn't built in a day. The fact we weren't active last year was probably because we didn't have much funds - it doesn't magically mean we can do twice as much this year, that the players would be available on the market to do that if we could, or that it'd even be a good idea considering squad cohesion. We've replaced Rose, Eriksen and Dembele which much younger options on much younger contracts - in Dembele's case with perhaps the highest-rated young CM in the world - as well as getting a promising prospect in Clarke. Much of the rest of our squad is still going strong. It leaves us to concentrate on CB and possibly RB next summer, which is much more achieveable than doing it all at once (and as Arsenal have seen there wasn't much available at CB this year anyway). So not in a day, but possibly in 12 months, and we've still got one heck of a good team in the mean time. Dybala would simply be iceing on the cake.

Don't know why everyone is getting upset about this deal falling through. Levy had to tease our little pocket rockets, it's just what the man does.

Still happy we tried and were linked properly, much better than the Grealish's and Berahino's of the past. (I'd still take Grealish before you all lose your shit again.)
