It cant be image rights - it is no use to anyone having someone not wanted at their club both financially and otherwise... not a good 'image'

Must be Juve and using him as bait for Icardi... they were always going for Icardi

It's less that they don't want him and more that he represents a massive chunk of much needed income if he's sold. With them failing to find interest for players like Higuain on they've had to sell the likes of Dybala and Kean instead.

This is all getting crazy I'd suggest people just enjoy the Lo Celso thread until this calms down a bit.

Sounds like Juve making the call, but I don’t doubt that could change quickly. Be foolish to let it get this far then change their minds.
Think this will be one that rumbles on and off all day, I’m going to go off for a bit and revisit later, see where we are at then.
If we have legitimately bid that much cash and done all the background work, can we really see us just wrote it off and get nobody?

Just get Sess & Lo Celso over the line. This in itself would be good enough for the season
Not getting Dybala is a real shame but the beginning of the window I'd have bitten your hand off for Ndombele, Lo Celso, Sess and Clarke. Still a v.decent window and fixes our issues in midfield.

Juat buckle yourselves in I'd say. As JJ alludes to, it's now moving so fast that even he doesn't know where it's at. It was always touch and go from the start of the day and that's still the situation, to an extent

So much confusion surrounding this, you do wonder whether the waters are being muddied deliberately - to what purpose I can't say.

All I do know is that deadline day is notorious for on/off transfers and misinformation/jumping the gun so and considering an awful lot of the leg work has been done then there's always a chance.

If the image rights are such a deal breaker, why not loan him with an obligation to buy and sort them out later?

I'm convinced A&C/Rob leaked the "Dybala deal off" news just to get some people off of SC. Bet the server was taking a hammering for a while.

Holding up fine at the moment though.

Two English, very bright talents and two central mids highly rated in Europe ... Yeah, I would have laughed. It's some window and yes this is me using a coping mechanism.

Juventus are prepared to let Paulo Dybala join #thfc on an initial loan with an option to buy to then defer the issue of image rights for a later date. [Gazzetta dello Sport]
